Disclosed are a cushion conveying device and method, and a cushion rolling packaging apparatus and method. The cushion conveying device includes a frame (10), a conveying platform (20), a pressing mechanism (30) and a folding mechanism (40). At least one gap area is provided on the conveying platform (20). The pressing mechanism (30) is movable back and forth to contact and press at least one part of the cushion on the conveying platform (20). The folding mechanism (40) includes at least one folding member (41) movable back and forth to pass through the gap area, the folding member (41) is capable of extending out of the gap area to abut against the cushion on the conveying platform (20), so as to turn up and fold the cushion. The cushion, when conveyed to the conveying platform (20), is folded in an overturning mode by the pressing mechanism (30) and the folding mechanism (40) cooperatively, so that the folding action is simple and fast. The folded cushion is directly conveyed to the next process through the conveying platform, without additional adjustment to the cushion, such as overturning the cushion, so that the operation is stable and reliable.

PAPER WRAPPING MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR A HIGHLY COMPRESSED PRODUCT

Paper wrapping materials and method to securely wrap a rolled-up High Expansion Force product. The materials include a kraft paper layer encircling a circumference of the product with a leading end of the paper layer adhered to a tail end of the product by a first hotmelt adhesive. A tail end of the paper layer is adhered to a middle portion of the paper layer with a second hotmelt adhesive encircling the product. The paper layer has: (i) a Basis Weight from about 68 pounds per 3000 feet squared to about 84 pounds per 3000 feet squared, (ii) a Tensile Strength (MD) from about 55 pounds per inch to about 70 pounds per inch, (iii) a Stretch (MD) from about 7% to about 11%, and (iv) a fiber content of at least 70% virgin fibers. The second hotmelt adhesive is between about 15% and about 25% thermoplastic elastomer.

Unidirectional fiber composite system for structural repairs and reinforcement

A composite system for the reinforcement of physical structures includes a plurality of unidirectional fibers arranged with respective longitudinal axes generally parallel to each other over a substantial portion of a length of each unidirectional fiber. The plurality of unidirectional fibers are non-mechanically connected. A resinous material adheres the plurality of unidirectional fibers to each other such that each one of the plurality of unidirectional fiber is adhered to at least one adjacent one of the plurality of unidirectional fibers along a substantial portion of the length of the adjacent one of the plurality unidirectional fibers.

Methods of compressing and sealing a plurality of mattresses in an air-impermeable, pliable outer container; and assemblies comprising such a plurality of mattresses. The plurality of mattresses may be rolled into a cylindrical shape for transport from a manufacturer to a distribution center or a retail location. Each mattress may be enclosed in an air-permeable, pliable decorative container that may be suitable for display or transfer to customers. The methods and the assemblies may allow greater efficiency in shipping mattresses to a distribution center or a retail location, and/or greater efficiency in preparing mattresses for display or transfer to customers of the retail location.

Packaging mattresses as a double spiral roll

Mattresses are packaged by successively rolling two compressed mattresses into a roll in which a rolling wrapper forms a spiral when viewed from an end of the roll. The bottom surface of a first mattress is placed on the wrapper such that the wrapper wraps around a first end of the mattress. The first end is then inserted between the bars of a mechanical roller. The first end is bent over onto the top surface of the mattress, and the mattress is rolled. The bottom surface of a second mattress is placed on the wrapper, and the first mattress is further rolled until successive portions of the bottom surface of the first mattress become adjacent to successive portions of the top surface of the second mattress. The wrapper is cut, and a first location near the cut edge is taped to a second location one revolution earlier on the wrapper.
