Method for provisioning a container with food
Method for providing a container with food, the method comprising: providing a container for infant formula food, adding the food, sealing the container with a gas-tight membrane seal, adding an inner scannable code on the gas-tight membrane seal, closing the container with a tamper-proof closure means, so that the inner scannable code is not scannable without breaking a part of the tamper-proof closure means, and storing the inner scannable code in a database.
Peelable resealable membrane for containers
The invention comprises a peelable membrane for resealably closing a metal end comprising an outer layer, a tacky layer, and a heat seal layer. The heat seal layer is permanently sealed to the metal end to cover at least one opening in the metal end. The tacky layer causes the peelable membrane to be resealable onto the metal end.
GLASS CONTAINERS AND SEALING ASSEMBLIES FOR MAINTAINING SEAL INTEGRITY AT LOW STORAGE TEMPERATURES
A sealed pharmaceutical container includes a shoulder, a neck extending from the shoulder, and a flange extending from the neck. The flange includes an inclined sealing surface defining an opening in the sealed pharmaceutical container. The sealed pharmaceutical container also includes a sealing assembly including a stopper extending over the sealing surface of the flange and a cap securing the stopper to the flange. The stopper has a glass transition temperature (T.sub.g) that is greater than or equal to −70° C. and less than or equal to −45° C. The sealing assembly maintains a helium leakage rate of the sealed pharmaceutical container of less than or equal to 1.4×10.sup.−6 cm.sup.3/s as the sealed pharmaceutical container is cooled to a temperature of less than or equal to −45° C.
CONTACT LENS PACKAGE AND METHOD AND PACKAGING MACHINE FOR PRODUCING SAME
The contact lens package comprises an accommodation element having a cup which contains a contact lens fluid and a contact lens, and a cover film which closes the cup. The accommodation element has, at least in a region of the cup, a coating containing silicon oxide or aluminium oxide. The associated method of production comprises the coating of the accommodation element, at least in the region of the cup, with the coating and the associated packaging machine comprises a coating station for corresponding coating of the accommodation element.
PROCESS FOR FORMING A HOOD FOR A TRAY
A process for packaging a product in which a hood is fitted to a tray. The hood is erected by a process that includes a step of providing a flat blank. The flat blank includes a leading panel and a trailing panel. A flat insert is provided and adhered to a panel selected from the group of the leading panel, the trailing panel of the hood, and combinations thereof. The die used to erect the hood includes a die recess. When the die is positioned within the mold, the central portion of the flat insert becomes spaced apart from the hood top. The die recess provides for space to accommodate the central portion of the flat insert becoming spaced apart from the hood top.
Portion capsule for preparing a beverage
A portion capsule for producing a beverage. The portion capsule includes a capsule body that has a collar edge and a capsule bottom; a filter element located inside of the capsule body, the filter element is elastic, the filter element has a flange that is attached to the collar edge of the capsule body, the filter element has a bottom; and a cover attached to the capsule body. The bottom of the filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom such that a free space remains between the filter element and the capsule bottom. The filter element is spaced apart from the capsule bottom in such a manner that only before a liquid is applied to a beverage substrate, does the filter element not touch the capsule bottom.
Container for a spraying device
Fluid liners and container assemblies for a spraying apparatus and related methods of use are provided. The disclosed liners include a side wall defining a fluid-containing portion and an open end, a flange extending outwardly from the side wall, and a latching member coupled to the flange, where the latching member includes a retaining feature for releasably coupling the side wall to a lid compatible with the liner. Disclosed fluid containers include a lid having a fluid outlet adapted to couple the lid to the spraying apparatus and a collapsible liner, where either the liner or lid comprises a latch that releasably couples the liner and the lid to each other. Advantageously, the fluid liners and fluid containers can provide enhanced storage options for container contents between spraying operations.
Leak-proof press-fit sealed container
An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a tray having a base connected to a plurality of sidewalls each of which extends away from the base and terminates at a rim, said tray defining a volume with an opening circumscribed by said rim, said rim comprising a press-fit sealing feature; a ring-shaped lid comprising a complimentary press-fit sealing feature configured to mate with said press-fit sealing feature; a product disposed in said volume wherein said product surface comprises at least one contour; and a flexible film, said flexible film spans said opening and adheres to the at least one contour of the product, and said flexible film is secured to said tray between said press-fit sealing feature of the rim and said complimentary press-fit sealing feature of the ring-shaped lid.
STERILIZING PACKAGING UNITS
Sterilizing packaging units including packing a sterilization container by receiving a rigid body having a lower surface, an upper rim, and side walls between the lower surface and the upper rim, wherein the upper rim defines an opening to an interior space of the body, arranging one or more packaging units in the interior space of the body, covering and sealing the opening of the body with a lid, and engaging a valve body in fluid communication with the interior space of the body to move the valve body to an open position; exposing the interior space of the body and the packaging units to a sterilant until the packaging units are sterilized; subjecting the interior space of the body to a negative pressure differential; and engaging the valve body to move the valve body to a closed position that seals the interior space of the body.
PROCESSING METHOD FOR PACKAGING UNITS
The present disclosure describes a method that includes receiving a plurality of packaging units made of glass; coating at least a portion of an outer surface of each packaging unit with low-friction coating; curing the low-friction coating applied to the outer surface of each packaging unit; receiving a container configured to store the plurality of packaging units; and arranging each packaging unit in the container with the outer surface of each packaging unit able to touch the outer surface of one or more adjacent packaging units.
