Devices, systems and methods for labeling items in a conveyor line
Devices, systems and methods for labeling an item in a conveyor line are disclosed. An example labeling station comprises a labeling member with a label holder configured to hold a label to be affixed to the item. The labeling member is configured to move at least the label holder at a matching speed of the conveyor in a matching direction and to affix the label to the item. An example labeling method includes obtaining a multi-dimensional representation of the item, determining a label target position in the representation, and controlling a labeling station to affix the label at the label target position on the item.
METHOD TO PRINT AND APPLY LABELS TO PRODUCTS
The present application relates to a method and system for labeling one or more products such as packages transported along a conveyer, and more specifically to applying a label on a respective package by way of a vertically adjustable assembly positioned above the conveyor. The adjustable assembly includes at least a label printer and an applicator for printing and applying the label on a surface of the package on the conveyor.
LABELLING DEVICE AND SYSTEM COMPRISING SUCH DEVICE
A first aspect provides a labelling device for providing an object with a printed label. The device comprises a first transportation module, a labelling module comprising a label gripper and a gripper driving module for moving the gripper between a label pick-up position and a label application position, and a second transportation module. The labelling device further comprises a labelling processing unit arranged to instruct the first transportation module to transport the object to the labelling position, after transportation of the object to the labelling position, instruct the labelling module to have the gripper grip a label at the label pick-up position and transport the label to the label application position for application of the label to the object and after application of the label, instruct the second transportation module to transport the object away from the labelling position.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A LABELLING SYSTEM
The invention relates to a method for operating a labelling system which comprises a labelling device (1) having a feed assembly (2), a dispensing assembly (4) and an application assembly (6); wherein at least one of these functional units comprises a sensor assembly (8, 9, 10); wherein, in a labelling routine, a control assembly (11) activates the functional units in order to carry out the labelling process; wherein, in a monitoring routine, a monitoring assembly (12) captures the sensor data detected by the sensor assemblies (8, 9, 10), which data correspond to a sensor capture density specified for the corresponding functional unit; wherein the labelling system comprises a user interface (13). According to the invention, in a user-query routine, a user is prompted by the user interface (13) to input a state relating to a functional aspect of the labelling system, and the input state is transmitted to the monitoring assembly (12), which compares the input state with a specified state and, in the event of deviation, executes an internal response routine in which a sensor capture density, which is changed with respect to the previous sensor capture density, of at least one functional unit is specified; and, following the user query routine, the labelling routine and the monitoring routine are executed using the changed sensor capture density specified from the user query routine.
MULTI-HOLE ABSORPTION TOOL
A multi-hole absorption tool includes an absorption surface including a plurality of absorption holes to which a seal is absorbed. Each of the plurality of absorption holes is classified so as to belong to at least one of a first region and a second region, and absorption holes belonging to the first region and absorption holes belonging to the second region are connected to different suction devices. The multi-hole absorption tool having this configuration can peel off the seal from a mount with no wrinkle in the seal, prevent positional displacement of the seal with respect to an object to which the seal is affixed, and affix the seal to the object.
Flexing label applicator
A label applying system includes a conveyance path for moving an item in a conveyance direction, and a label applicator With an elongated label applying arm pivotably moveable between a label load position spaced away from the item and a label apply position in which a free end of the elongated label applying arm is moved into contact with the item. The elongated label applying arm is configured to be sufficiently flexible such that at least a label carrying portion of the elongated label applying arm bends, as it moves into contact with the item, for pressing a label against the item.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LABEL APPLICATION
Label application system and method for applying labels to packages of various sizes and shapes, adaptable for use in a wide range of facilities. The system comprises a gripper for retrieving the label, wherein the gripper releasably and minimally contacts the adhesive side of the label. The system further comprises one or more applicators for firmly applying the label to the package. Movement of the gripper and/or applicators is controlled by a servo-actuated delta-type robot.
Labeling systems and methods of making and using same
A method for printing and applying labels comprises printing indicia on a first label using a printer to form a first printed label and holding the first printed label in a holding tray. The method includes moving an arm from an original position to a first position to collect the first printed label from the holding tray, and rotating the arm in a first direction to move the first printed label towards a substrate. The method comprises moistening the first printed label to activate a dissolvable liner of the first printed label. The method includes using the arm to apply the moistened first printed label to the substrate. The arm is rotated in a second direction away from the substrate. The printer prints a second label before the arm returns to the original position to collect the second label from the holding tray.
ROBOTIC LABELING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF LABELING PACKAGES
A robotic labeling system includes a package locating system and a package identification station identifying a package orientation. The robotic labeling system includes a label application station having first and second label printers and first and second label applicators. The label printers are both capable of printing a shipping label and a customer specific label. The first label applicator applies a first label (either the shipping label or the customer specific label) to a first side of the package while the second label applicator applies a second label (other of the shipping label or the customer specific label) to a second side of the package different than the first side. The printing and application of the labels is based on the orientation of the package.
Method and apparatus for applying a label to a spool or reel
An apparatus for applying a label to a spool or reel containing wire and a wire tail extending from the spool or reel, the apparatus comprising a wire tail sensor, wherein the wire tail sensor identifies the location of the wire tail protruding from the spool or reel and a label application mechanism, wherein the labeling mechanism applies a label to the spool or reel and wherein the label does not contact the wire tail protruding from the spool or reel.
