The distance between the label handler and the object rotated by the roller is less than a length of the label. The label applicator may further comprise a printer, such as a thermal transfer printer, which may be configured to print labels for a plurality of objects to which different labels are applied consecutively.

In some embodiments, the system may include a support bracket configured for being mounted to a label printer. The system may include a tamp system. The tamp system may be configured for being mounted to the support bracket. The crush-cutting unit may be mounted to the support bracket. The system may include a printer configured for printing at least one of an image and text on the label web. The system may include an anvil positioned to hold the label web in place when the label web may be disposed between the anvil and the crush-cutting unit. The anvil may be positioned above the crush-cutting unit.
