The present invention is directed to systems and process for detecting a febrile condition in screening of multiple or large groups of persons for the likelihood of infectious diseases. The system comprises a temperature measurement device having at least a processor, a display, temperature sensor, camera module, and facial recognition software. The display may include a positional overlay. The system further includes a database containing baseline temperatures for a number of persons, including baseline temperatures by age group and by gender. An input device optionally may identify the specific person or provide survey questions to a person to further determine a febrile condition. Based on the baseline temperatures, measured temperature and other characteristics of the person, a febrile condition may be determined. Additionally, the system may include a secondary screening component providing nasal swabbing or saliva testing.

Portable label printer

A portable label printer for printing content onto a surface of a label is provided. The label has a chip disposed therein. The portable label printer includes a main body, an RFID antenna assembly, a front cover unit, a back cover unit, and a print head module. The front and back cover units are disposed in the main body, and a paper exit port is formed between the front and back cover units. The RFID antenna assembly is disposed in the main body and adjacent to the paper exit port. The print head module is disposed in the main body and under the RFID antenna assembly. The label first passes through the print head module, and then passes through the RFID antenna assembly. When the label passes through the RFID antenna assembly, the RFID antenna assembly performs data reading or data writing on the chip of the label.

A tape having a strip shape extending in a lengthwise direction and a widthwise direction includes: a subject surface located on the tape and exposed in a thickness direction; a first marker provided on the subject surface and being greater than the subject surface in reflectivity to light with a particular wavelength; and a second marker provided on the subject surface and being less than the subject surface in the reflectivity. At least a portion of the first marker and at least a portion of the second marker are identical to each other in position in the widthwise direction. At least a portion of one of the first marker and the second marker and at least a portion of another of the first marker and the second marker are different from each other in position in the lengthwise direction.

According to one embodiment, a label printer for printing labels attached to a mount is provided. The label printer includes detection unit configured to detect a peel-off state of a label to be printed and a printing unit configured to control printing of labels on the mount according to the detected peel-off state of the label to be printed. When the detected peel-off state is total peel-off, the printing unit is configured to advance the mount to a next label on the mount, and when the detected peel-off state is partial peel-off, the printing unit is configured to not print on the label.

The interfered member is a part of the exterior member of the label peel-off unit, and protrudes toward an upstream side in the label conveyance direction and is at a position where the interfered member abuts against the interfering member.

Augmented reality labelers

In example implementations, an augmented reality (AR) labeler is provided. The AR labeler includes a camera, a processor, a graphical user interface (GUI), and a display. The camera is to capture an image of an object. The processor is communicatively coupled to the camera to receive the image and determine object information. The GUI is communicatively coupled to the processor to receive print parameters. The display is communicatively coupled to the processor to display an AR image of the object with the print parameters, wherein the print parameters are modified in the AR image based on the object information.
