TETHERED PLASTIC STOPPER
20220048680 · 2022-02-17 ·

The present invention relates to tethered plastic stopper having a tamper band having an offset wall, a closure shell having a peripheral wall, and a hinge connected to the closure shell and a bottom edge attached to the tamper band. The closure shell is also separably connected to the tamper band through a weakness line. The peripheral wall extends around a portion perimeter of the stopper forming a first end at one edge of the peripheral wall and a second end edge at the other edge of the peripheral wall. The offset wall extends between the first and second ends of the peripheral wall at the opposite of the hinge.

The present invention relates to tethered plastic stopper having a closure shell, a tamper band, and an annular ring. The annular ring is formed between a bottom weakness line separably linked through bottom bridges to the top edge of the tamper band and to the bottom edge of the annular ring and a top weakness line separably linked through top bridges to the top edge of the annular ring and to the bottom edge of the closure shell. At least one of the bottom bridges is configured to prevent disconnection of the annular ring from the tamper band and at least one of the top bridges is configured to prevent disconnection of the annular ring from the closure shell. The remaining bottom bridge and the remaining top bridge having a section exceeding at least 30% relative to the section of the bottom bridges and top bridges, respectively.

CLOSURE WITH FLEXIBLE HINGE
20220097928 · 2022-03-31 ·

A closure for a container includes a closure shell having a first interior surface, a tamper evident band having a second interior surface, and a flexible hinge. The flexible hinge includes a first end, a second end, and a gathered portion located between the first and second ends. The first end is coupled to the closure shell and the second end is coupled to the tamper evident band. At least a portion of the gathered portion extends radially inward with respect to the interior surface of the closure shell. The flexible hinge permits the closure shell to be opened and remain tethered to the tamper evident band. The closure may further include a retaining bead or ratchets to keep the tamper evident band attached to the container.

Tamper Evident Closure

A closure with tamper evident and child resistant features is disclosed.

In a closure assembly the cap is a quarter-turn cap and the bottom end of the skirt has a pair of diametrically opposed static cover portions separated from one another by a pair of diametrically opposed and open bottomed notches in the skirt. In each notch an indicator segment of the tamper-evident structure is located that is integrally molded to an upper notch rim by a non-frangible hinge, preferably a film hinge, and to each of the leading rim and the trailing rim via at least one respective frangible bridge. The neck has for each indicator segment an integrally molded boss adapted to engage on a respective indicator segment such that, upon first time opening of the cap by quarter turn rotation in opening direction, the indicator segments are each forced outwardly by the respective boss such that each of the indicator segments pivots about the non-frangible hinge and the frangible bridges break, thereby the outwardly pivoted indicator segments and the broken frangible bridges evidencing the first time opening of the cap.

CAPPING ASSEMBLY FOR RECEPTACLES

The present invention belongs to the technical field of closures with discharge devices for receptacles, focusing on hinged closures. It consists of a capping assembly intended to be attached to the gland of a liquid container. This assembly consists of a tubular neck (1) and a cylindrical hinged cap (2). The cap integrates a ring (3) linked to the neck, a hinged lid (4) for opening and closing the pouring hole, a hinge (5) for hinging the cap and frangible bridges (16) between the ring and the cap. Additional elements in the tubular neck, such as a lower collar and an upper washer, contribute to the efficiency and functionality of the assembly.

Tamper evident closure

A closure including an outer shell and an inner shell that cooperate to provide child-resistant opening features is provided. The inner shell includes at least one lug that cooperates with at least one lug of the outer shell to provide the child-resistant opening feature. The closure also includes a tamper evident band to provide an indicator of when the closure has been opened relative to an underlying container.

In a closure assembly the cap (20) is a quarter-turn cap and the bottom end of the skirt has a pair of diametrically opposed static cover portions (23, 24) separated from one another by a pair of diametrically opposed and open bottomed notches (33, 34) in said skirt. In each notch an indicator segment (41, 42) of the tamper-evident structure is located that is integrally molded to an upper notch rim by a non-frangible hinge (43, 44), preferably a film hinge, and to each of said leading rim and said trailing rim via at least one respective frangible bridge (45, 46, 47, 48). The neck (2) has for each indicator segment an integrally molded boss (12, 13) adapted to engage on a respective indicator segment such that, upon first time opening of the cap by quarter turn rotation in opening direction, the indicator segments are each forced outwardly by the respective boss such that each of said indicator segments pivots about said non-frangible hinge and said frangible bridges break, thereby said outwardly pivoted indicator segments and said broken frangible bridges evidencing the first time opening of the cap.

Package containing tamper evidence features

A package containing tamper evident features includes a closure for closing the package and an access point that provides access to contents of the package. The closure includes a ring surrounding the closure which is connected to the package, a lid, substantially covering the access point when the lid is closed on the package, a removable tab secured between a portion of the lid and the ring and a plurality of tear off webs between the ring and the lid. The tear off webs are releasably connected between the ring and the lid. Opening of the package by opening the lid requires both removal of the tab from the tube and breaking of the first tear off webs. Removal of the tab forms a window at least partially provided in the lid.
