A method and device for preserving wine or other oxygen sensitive items is disclosed. In some embodiments, the device has a housing, a pressure indicator, a pressure sensor, and a one-way valve. The housing is configured to seal an opening of a wine bottle. The housing has a closure side configured to be in communication with an interior of the wine bottle. The housing has an input channel extending through the housing. The pressure sensor is within the housing and is in communication with the closure side. The one-way valve is in the input channel. The pressure sensor is configured to move the pressure indicator to an indicating position when a predetermined amount of pressure is reached at the sensor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SELF RELEASING CHAMPAGNE CORK WITH ELECTROMECHANICAL RELEASE MECHANISM
20230059868 · 2023-02-23 ·

A system and method for easily operated self-releasing stopper/cork for bottles of compressed liquids. The corks have a gas bladder that is designed to be inserted in a bottle and inflated, the bladder having a ribbed or smooth exterior to complete the sealing of the bottle whereby a gas release mechanism can be activated by depressing a button on a cap or via an on-board micro controller and/or electro-mechanical release solution in the cap. Once the gas is released from the top of the bladder the pressure inside the vessel will collapse the bladder’s bottom and eject the cork assembly from the bottle.

A method of preserving an oxygen sensitive item is disclosed. The method involves injecting at least 0.15 gram of an inert gas into a container comprising the oxygen sensitive item and oxygen, without raising a pressure within the container above 10 psig, to form a barrier layer of the inert gas between the oxygen sensitive item and the oxygen in the container without displacing all of the oxygen from the container.

AN AUTO-LOCK SEALING VALVE STRUCTURE OF A RUBBER JOINTING RING IN THE CONTAINERS USING A LID ATTACHED TO THE RUBBER JOINTING RING
20230117063 · 2023-04-20 ·

An auto-lock sealing valve structure of a rubber jointing ring using the lid attached to the rubber jointing ring includes a lid, a rubber jointing ring, and a bottle body. The rubber jointing ring connects the lid and the bottle body. The designation of the vapor escaping groove in the lid body helps the air inside the rubber jointing ring escape out, simultaneously the raised edge on the bottle lid prevents the rubber jointing ring part from coming out off. The gaps on the body part of the rubber jointing rings help the air inside the bottle body to entirely escape but still ensure that the liquid inside the devices cannot escape.

Cap for automatic test tube recapper
09850039 · 2017-12-26 ·

A unique cap for an automatic test tube recapper is presented. The cap has a conical body with an upper top flange and lower sections for inserting into standard test tubes. The middle section directly under the upper top flange is about 13 mm in diameter. A bottom section under the middle section has a diameter of about 16 mm. The cap has a rounded bottom. The middle and lower sections have diameters similar to the diameters of most common test tubes. One or more nipples with notches cutout are located inside the conical body. The notches grip the lower part of a hammer drive during the driving process but release the hammer drive once the cap has been seated inside the test tube.

ADAPTER FOR CONNECTING A DISPENSER TO A CONTAINER

An adapter (1) for connecting a dispenser to a container having a neck with an interior passage comprises a body portion (2) with a container end (27) and a dispenser end (23, 25) opposite to the container end (27). The body portion (2) has a longitudinal axis (21) centrally extending between the dispenser end (23, 25) and the container end (27), and an essentially cylindrical outer surface (22). The body portion (2) comprises sealing lamellas (24) outwardly extending from the outer surface (22). The sealing lamellas (24) of the body portion (2) are spaced from each other along the longitudinal axis (21). Each of the sealing lamellas (24) of the body portion (2) has a root end adjoining the outer surface (22) of the body portion (2). The root ends of at least two neighboring sealing lamellas (24) have different thicknesses.

CAPPED BARREL SYSTEM AND METHODS

A capped barrel system for aging liquids includes a barrel and a barrel cap removably coupled to the barrel. The barrel includes: a plurality of wooden staves suitable for aging liquids, hoops for holding the staves together, a head coupled to the staves, and a bunghole formed in the head. The barrel cap includes: a lid including a top portion and a rim extending downwardly from the top portion. The rim includes an inner surface and a seal that defines at least a portion of the inner surface. The barrel cap further includes an opening formed in the top portion of the lid that is generally aligned with the bunghole and a closure removably positioned in the opening. When the closure is positioned in the opening, a gas tight coupling between the closure and the lid and a gas tight fit between the seal and the barrel form a gas tight environment between the barrel and the barrel cap.
