Degradable containment features
A degradable containment includes an outer structural layer constructed of a pulp material, a central carrier layer constructed of a biopolymer, and an interior nanomaterial layer constructed of a nanomaterial.
REINFORCEMENT RING FOR CAPSULES FOR OBTAINING BEVERAGES
A reinforcement ring for capsules for obtaining beverages, for example coffee, comprising a side wall and a flat surface, preferably having a uniform thickness, protruding from the side wall. The reinforcement ring is characterized in that the side wall comprises a groove at the extremity opposite the flat surface, so as to reduce the thickness of the side wall at the extremity and to reduce the total amount of material used to produce the reinforcement ring. The reinforcement ring can be used to reinforce the body of a capsule for obtaining beverages for example made of a filtering material. A machine for welding the reinforcement ring to the capsule body and to a system for producing beverages comprising a container into which the capsule with the reinforcement ring is inserted during the step of supplying pressurized water.
DEGRADABLE CONTAINMENT FEATURES
A degradable containment includes an outer structural layer constructed of a pulp material, a central carrier layer constructed of a biopolymer, and an interior nanomaterial layer constructed of a nanomaterial.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MULTILAYERED COMPOSITE FILM, A MULTILAYERED COMPOSITE FILM AND ITS USE
The present patent application relates to a method of manufacturing a multilayered composite film comprising a step of co-extruding at least three layers (a), (b) and (c), of which the layer (a) forms an outward surface of the composite film; the layer (c) forms a surface of the composite film facing or coming in contact with a good to be packaged; and the layer (b) is disposed between the layer (a) and the layer (c). Further, the method includes a step of biaxial orientation of the composite film thus co-extruded. Therein, the layer (a) contains or consists of a thermoplastic resin. The layer (b) contains or consists of a polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) resin. The layer (c) contains or consists of a resin, preferably sealable, in particular heat-sealable resin. Therein, any crosslinking of the composite film by means of radioactive radiation, in particular by means of beta, gamma, X-ray and/or electron irradiation, is omitted during the manufacturing of the composite film and/or thereafter.
Industrial package with neutral wax skin
A surfboard wax packaging apparatus for an ingot of surfboard wax includes a heated paraffin tank configured for holding the ingot of surfboard wax and heating paraffin wax until molten. A quantity of 100% neutral inert paraffin wax is placed in the heated paraffin tank sufficient to cover the ingot of surfboard wax when submerged therein. A holder having a handle portion, an extension portion and a mount is provided. The handle portion is configured for hanging the holder on a rod, and the mount is configured to securely hold the ingot of surfboard wax, the extension portion keeps the handle portion outside the heated paraffin tank when the ingot is submerged in the paraffin tank, and a rod is provided for hanging the handle portion to allow the paraffin-encased ingot of surfboard wax to cool and dry prior to re-submersion.
REUSABLE CONTAINER WITH SELF-CLEANING SURFACE AND IDENTIFICATION DEVICE
A reusable food or beverage container that features self-cleaning surface characteristics thereby allowing effective cleaning using minimal resources and effort. The reusable food or beverage container includes an identification device used to associate the reusable food or beverage container as a part of a system of reusable food or beverage containers and associated devices. Successful identification of the reusable food or beverage container allows the container to be accepted for reuse as a part of the reusable container system, as well as to initiate automated processes associated with that particular reusable container.
AIRTIGHT CONTAINER HAVING DEFORMABLE COVER UNIT OR DEFORMABLE CONTAINER UNIT
Disclosed is an airtight container having a deformable cover unit or a deformable container unit, which ensures easy maintenance of the cover unit and allows the cover unit to be easily used with a large-capacity fixed container unit, or which includes an expandable accommodating space or an expandable inlet to accommodate various sizes of storage items therein in an airtight manner. The airtight container includes a deformable cover unit for useable with a fixed container unit. Alternatively, the airtight container includes first and second frames pivotably connected to each other so as to be selectively coupled to or come into contact with each other in order to seal a contact or coupling portion therebetween, and a deformable container unit disposed over the frames and configured to provide an accommodating space for a storage item therein. The first and second frames are disposed along the inlet rim of the container unit.
REUSABLE RECYCLABLE PACKING POUCH
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including a reusable recyclable packing pouch are described. The reusable recyclable packing pouch includes a plastic container, a paperboard jacket, and an adhesive coating. The plastic container includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a shaped region with a flange extending around a perimeter of the shaped region. The second portion is sized to mate with the flange such as to define a space between facing surfaces of the second portion and the shaped region of the first portion. The paperboard jacket comprising an aperture defined therethrough. The aperture is sized to permit the shaped region of the plastic container to pass through while the flange extends past edges of aperture and overlaps with a region of paperboard jacket at a periphery of the aperture. The adhesive coating located on a surface of the paperboard jacket.
