A packing unit for an air-conditioning apparatus includes an outdoor unit with heavy objects that are provided on a bottom plate of a housing of the outdoor unit. On the packing unit, the outdoor unit is placed. The packing unit includes: a support base that has a cuboid framework structure made by combining a plurality of wood pieces, and supports the outdoor unit; a long wood piece that has a long plate shape, and that forms part of an upper surface portion of the support base and faces the bottom plate, the long wood piece having end portions, one of the end portions being fixed to the support base, the other being a free end that is movable in a vertical direction; and a support wood piece that is provided on an upper surface portion of the end portion on a free end side of the long wood piece.

A system for securing at least two heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units stacked on each other for transportation includes corner brackets on at least the four corners of the lower unit and between the units. Each corner bracket has a banding channel, a plank-receiving channel, and a plurality of protrusions on a top side. The brackets are banded in place using the banding channels. On each longitudinal side, planks are used to extend between corner brackets to help control the loads and to distribute the loads. The corner brackets may be made from a synthetic material and the planks from wood or wood-like material. Other aspects are disclosed.

A box which is expandable vertically and horizontally is disclosed. The box can be expanded both vertically and horizontally simultaneously, or in only one of these directions. This is accomplished by pulling/pushing opposite sides further/closer to each other. Rails which at least partially extend between respective opposite sides allow such an expansion/or contraction, the rails, in embodiments, having a pin of one section of the box held within a slot of an adjacent section of the box. The box, in embodiments, is made up of four separate pieces, each being one quadrant (top & left, top & right, bottom & left, bottom & right) of the box. Such a box can be expanded/collapsed to fit within a window and hold an air conditioner there-in.

Provided is a packing material which packs at least a unit main body of an air conditioner to be installed in a ceiling, the packing material including: a cover part for covering an opening part through which components inside the unit main body are exposed; and a cut and bent up part which has a slit part for inserting a protruding portion of the unit main body and fixes the cover part on the unit main body. The packing material can eliminate the need for a curing sheet and a tape for fixing the curing sheet while keeping out dust etc.

A containment system for enclosing and moving heavy equipment, such as air conditioning or water heater components is disclosed. The containment system includes a bag component and a plurality of handles and/or straps. The handles and/or straps are arranged so that workers can easily maneuver heavy equipment into and out of confined spaces, such as an attic. The containment system also prevents damage to structures, such as the interior of a house while moving such heavy equipment.

An anti-theft enclosure for protecting an outdoor air conditioning (A/C) unit is made up of an open framework of structural members which surround and protect the A/C unit. Individual steel panels are assembled to form a series of upstanding walls which are covered by a top panels and which together define the quasi-enclosed area surrounding the A/C unit. The tubing which makes up the steel panels is spaced to allow access to the enclosed area by a worker needing to access the A/C unit. The steel panels are joined with connecting and mating elements which facilitate easy and quick disassembling of the enclosure. The upright panels also have adjustable panel legs which can be extended and cemented into the ground for added stability and security.

The packaging corrugated cardboard includes a peripheral wall having a pair of first sidewalls and a pair of second sidewalls, an inner flap connected to a top side of each of the first sidewalls, and an outer flap connected to a top side of each of the second sidewalls. Each inner flap is provided with a pair of protrusions protruding from both side ends of the flap. When the inner flap and then the outer flap are closed, an opening on a top side of the peripheral wall is closed with the protrusions being brought into contact with the second sidewalls.
