3D flexible bag to be filled for biopharmaceutical fluids and method for creating such a bag
11498739 · 2022-11-15 · ·

A 3-D flexible bag to be filled with a biopharmaceutical product is formed by assembling of two wall elements and two gussets. At least one connection port is provided, for filling and/or emptying. A substantially parallelepipedal configuration is obtained in a filled state thanks to the unfolding of the gussets combined with the folding of flaps of the two wall elements. A transverse weld, formed at one end, connects the two wall elements of the bag and extends continuously, keeping in a folded-flat state:—an elongate edge portion of one gusset;—an elongate edge portion of the other gusset. This transverse weld has a length corresponding to a determined dimension of the flexible bag in the parallelepipedal configuration.

MULTIWALL PAPER PACKAGING STRUCTURES

A packaging article includes an outer, intermediate, and inner paper plies. A first adhesive layer is disposed between the inner and intermediate paper plies for gluing the inner paper ply to the intermediate paper ply. A second adhesive layer is disposed between the intermediate and outer paper plies for gluing the intermediate paper ply to the outer paper ply. The first and second adhesive layers overlap and are coaligned. The outer, intermediate, and inner paper plies are adjoined to form a multiwall structure, wherein the first adhesive layer and the second adhesive layer are coaligned with each other on the multiwall structure. The first adhesive layer comprises a first plurality of adhesive spots and the second adhesive layer comprises a second plurality of adhesive spots, wherein the adhesive spots of the first plurality of adhesive spots do not overlap with the adhesive spots of the second plurality of adhesive spots.

A flat-bottomed bag is formed from a flexible sheet that initially is flat prior to being manipulated to form the bag. The sheet is a laminate of a first web and a second web laminated together by an adhesive layer disposed between the webs. The sheet defines a plurality of serially connected side wall panels collectively defining a vertically extending side wall of the bag, and a plurality of bottom panels respectively connected to the side wall panels at respective fold lines. The bottom panels are folded about the fold lines and are attached together to form a flat bottom wall configured to support the bag in an upright orientation. The adhesive layer is in a partial-coverage pattern that includes adhesive-free regions located along each fold line between each bottom panel and the respective side wall panel connected therewith.

Box liner

An insulated box assembly includes a box including a pair of opposing side box panels, a pair of opposing main box panels, and a bottom box panel, the box defining an internal box cavity with a box opening defined opposite from the bottom box panel; and an insulated liner positioned within the internal box cavity, the insulated liner including a pair of opposing main liner panels and a pair of opposing side liner panels, the pair of opposing main liner panels and the pair of opposing side liner panels defined by a single blank liner panel including a blank sheet and an insulation batt, the insulation batt positioned between the blank sheet and the box.
