Tamper resistant reusable wine bottle stopper compatable with cork-screw-extractors
A rigid stopper (10) made of synthetic materials, particularly for wine bottles, comprises a substantially cylindrical body (12) defining a longitudinal axis (20), with a side surface (14) and two opposing substantially flat end faces (16, 18), and at least two compressible-elastomeric “O”-rings (22, 24) seated in corresponding semicircular-circumferential-grooves (26, 28) on the side surface (14). The semicircular-circumferential-grooves (26, 28) are positioned symmetrically about a central-plane (56) toward faces (16, 18) of body (12) respectively. Faces (16, 18) are comprised of foramen (42, 44) respectively which communicate with a volute cavity (14) for the purpose of accepting a typical cork-screw-extractor. Stopper 10 having longitudinal symmetry about a central plane (56), either face (16) or face (18) of stopper body (12) is configured to rest flush with bottle (48) top for the purpose of maintaining compatibility with random orientation of the stopper 10 with the “corking” process of packaging machinery. A predetermined diameter (32) of stopper body (12) is slightly less than the interior neck (54) of bottle (48) for the purpose of allowing the “O”-rings (22, 24) to be compressively engaged between the stopper body (12) and interior neck (54), thereby sealing and maintaining position by means of friction of stopper (10) within bottle (48). The two compressible-elastomeric “O”-rings (22, 24) are made of a different material of that of the cylindrical body (12). The material of the compressible-elastomeric “O-rings (22, 24) is non-toxic food-grade silicone rubber having a formulation able to ensure complete compatibility for alimentary use and a high resistance to aging. The material of the cylindrical body (12) is a rigid thermo-plastic bisphenol-free polycarbonate, a non-toxic category having a formulation able to ensure complete compatibility for alimentary use and a high resistance to aging.
Stopper body (12) is much more durable, sanitary, dependable, and reusable than the traditional cork or synthetic cork stopper. As compared to the recent screw cap, the stopper (10) maintains the mystique, romantic charm, and quality image of an expensive wine, whereas the screw-cap gives connotation as being of lesser quality wine and has low tamper resistance.
PACKAGING SYSTEM
The present apparatus and system relate to a structure for housing and containing products together and protecting products within a container from agitation and blunt force trauma. A resilient plug is adapted to fit within a container and contact a product housed within the container. When the container exhibits forces from movement, the plug dampens the impact of the movement by steadying the product within the container. Multiple containers may be mixed and matched and held together with a bundler that allows for easy insertion of the containers into the bundler but more difficult removal from the bundler.
APPARATUS FOR DISGUISING LIQUID CONTENTS IN POSSESSION
A device in the form of a container is disclosed which obscures and/or misdirects another person from recognizing the device contains potable fluid. The device is generally constructed with the size and shape and appearance of a tampon within a tampon wrapper. The device includes a sealable/re-sealable vessel with a cap, and a wrapper constructed and printed to appear like a tampon wrapper.
Sealing system for food applications
A sealing system for food applications that provides a housing element with two or more bolts and respective holes for clamping. A flanged element is clamped to a frame of a machine, and a rubber seal placed along the base perimeter of the housing element. The seal includes a first portion of the rubber profile placed in the areas distant from the holes and a second portion of the rubber profile adjacent to the holes. The rubber profile of the second portion has a larger cross section than that of the first portion, such that the deformations of the rubber profile are made virtually uniform to prevent the formation of fractures, and therefore of bacteria traps, in the rubber.
Container throat dispensing adapter and method
A kit for use in combination with a squeeze bottle includes a bottle cap or plug configured to seat and seal multiple sizes of a bottle opening or spout by threaded attachment to or compression fit in the spout. The cap or plug includes an axial throughbore which receives multiple sizes and configurations of fluid tubes and discharge nozzles which when properly attached to an inserted into a squeeze bottle enables controlled pumping and discharge of fluid such as hydraulic fluid or liquids.
Tamper resistant reusable wine bottle stopper compatible with cork-screw-extractors
A rigid stopper (10) made of bisphenol-free polycarbonate and silicone synthetic materials, particularly for a wine bottle (48), comprises a cylindrical body (12) and two opposing faces (16, 18), and at least two compressible-elastomeric “O”-rings (22, 24) seated in corresponding circumferential grooves (26, 28) on a side (14) of the body (12). The faces (16, 18) are comprised of foramen (42, 44) respectively which communicate with a volute-cavity (40) for the purpose of accepting a cork-screw-extractor. The volute-cavity (40) is comprised of a partition (46) at a central-plane (56) for the purpose of preventing wine from leaking through the volute-cavity (40). “O”-rings (22, 24) are compressively forced into a mouth (50) of a bottle (48) positioning either face (16) or face (18) flush with the mouth (50) thereby providing adequate compressive force in maintaining position of the stopper (10). Stopper (10) having longitudinal symmetry about a central plane (56), either face (16) or (18) of stopper body (12) maintains compatibility with random orientation of the stopper (10) in “corking” process of packaging.
Reaction receptacle
A receptacle includes an upper portion having a cylindrical portion and an open end and a lower portion depending from the upper portion, where the lower portion is tapered and has a closed bottom end. The receptacle may include a radially-extending annular ring with a flat or sloped bottom surface and disposed on an outer surface of the receptacle at a transition between the upper portion and the lower portion and/or a radially-projecting lip circumscribing the open end, which may be configured for inter-locking engagement with a mated cap inserted into the open end of the upper portion. Embodiments may include one or more longitudinally-oriented grooves formed in an inner surface of the upper portion. The receptacle may be a unitary plastic structure.
CAP HAVING A RIBBED INNER SURFACE
A cap having a lower portion, an upper portion with an opening formed therein, and a plurality of longitudinally oriented ribs disposed on an inner surface of the cap. The inner surface of the cap is defined by the opening formed in the upper portion of the cap, and each rib is associated with a concave recess disposed directly opposite the rib on an outer surface of the upper portion of the cap. The recess extends along at least part of the length of the rib.
