Resealable Pouring Element for Cardboard/Plastic Composite Packages With a Tamper-Evident Seal to Indicate the Initial Opening
20220371772 · 2022-11-24 ·

Represented and described is a resealable pouring element for cardboard/plastic composite packages, in particular beverage packages, with a base element having a circumferential fastening flange as well as an external thread, with opening means arranged at least in the unopened state of the pouring element in the interior of the base element and with a screw cap with internal thread, wherein the opening means are designed such that when the composite package is initially opened by unscrewing the screw cap by breaking the composite material of the package or a barrier layer located in the base element, a pour opening is created inside the pouring element and wherein at least one tamper-evident seal is arranged between the base element and the screw cap. In order to reduce the assembly effort for such a resealable pouring element, it is provided that an anchor ring is arranged below the screw cap and is connected to the screw cap via a hinge a rotationally fixed manner and in that the tamper-evident seal consists of an indicating element, whose one end is fixedly connected to the anchor ring or the screw cap and in which the other end is connected to the anchor ring by means of a predetermined breaking point in such manner that the predetermined breaking point of at least one mandrel element arranged on the fastening flange is broken when the screw cap is unscrewed and thus indicates to the consumer that an initial opening has already taken place.

Retainable closure

A closure that is retainable with a container is disclosed.

RELEASABLE CONTAINER CAP
20220363446 · 2022-11-17 ·

A container has an improved releasable cap, the container including a neck having external threads. The cap includes: a circular top piece for sealing the container; two sidewall sections connected to the top piece each having an internal threaded portion for engaging the neck of the container. Each sidewall section has two circumferential ends each spaced from an adjacent circumferential end of the other sidewall section such that two diametrically opposed expandable gaps are defined between the spaced circumferential ends. Two tabs each span a respective one of the two gaps, the tabs bulging outward from the sidewall section. The tabs are configured to be pressed inward thereby causing the sidewall sections to flex outward to disengage the internal threaded portions thereof from the external threads of the neck of the container permitting the cap to be removed therefrom.

Retainable Closure

A closure that is retainable with a container is disclosed.

TAMPER-EVIDENT CAP

A tamper-evident closure for a container includes a straw having an outer edge with an outwardly extending projection. The closure includes a cap with a rib. A tamper-evident tab extends from the rib. The tab has an inwardly extending lug configured to engage with the outwardly extending projection of the straw as the cap rotates relative to the straw. The tab has a hinge coupled with the rib. The hinge is configured to rotate the tab outwardly relative to the rib. The tab also has a foldable portion configured to fold to provide a visual indication when the cap is an unsealed configuration.

Tamper evidence bridges

An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.

SINGLE ANCHOR CLOSURE

A closure includes a closure portion defining a closure top wall and a closure side wall extending from closure top wall. The closure portion is configured to be removed from a finish portion of the container by rotatably disengaging from threads of the finish portion. A tamper evidence band configured to remain engaged with the finish portion when the closure portion is removed from the finish portion. A multiplicity of thin connections attaching the tamper evidence band to the closure portion. The thin connections configured to break apart when the closure portion is removed from the container. An anchor extending from the closure portion to the tamper evidence band. The anchor configured to keep the closure portion attached to the tamper evidence band when the closure portion is removed from the container.

CLOSURE WITH HINGED TAMPER BAND

A container assembly including a pouch, spout and closure is provided. The closure includes a tamper-evident band comprising two or more wall sections. Adjacent wall sections of the tamper band may be connected to one another with frangible connectors configured to break upon twist-off of the closure from the spout. The closure also includes one or more support walls supported between an outer wall and central wall of the closure. The closure further includes one or more hinges attaching the ends of the wall sections of the tamper band to the lower ends of the support walls. The hinges are configured to increase the resistance required to break or otherwise distort the frangible connections of the tamper-evident band, so as to prevent or lower the risk of accidental or inadvertent breakage of the tamper-evident band prior to twist-off of the closure from the spout.

VENTING CAP FOR LIQUID CONTAINERS
20170313480 · 2017-11-02 ·

The present invention concerns a venting cap for liquid containers which besides a pouring opening also has a venting opening with a venting spigot provided with a corresponding venting cap. The venting cap has a closed head plate and a cap skirt which extends downwardly from the head plate and has at least one cylindrical portion having a female thread, wherein above the female thread the cap skirt has a venting portion at which there are provided at a spacing relative to the head plate retaining lugs which extend radially inwardly and define a free inside radius which is smaller than the inside radius of the thread.
