Collapsible containers and a method of their manufacture are disclosed herein. The collapsible containers have one or more collapsible wall sections and a stiff upper and lower tier. The wall sections have living hinges and three or more tiers between the hinges. A thermoplastic elastomer layer may join separately made portions of the container together. The containers may be made by molding and overmolding. The containers include inter alia bulk liquid containers, jugs, tubs, baskets, bottles, and food containers. The method of manufacturing includes placing a container component and a matching container body comprising a stiff first tier, a stiff second tier, and a collapsible wall section in a mold; assembling the container body with the container component to close one end of the container body; and overmolding a thermoplastic layer around the container body and the container component.

The present invention relates to a multipurpose lid securement system. The securement system can be used for trash cans, ice chests, storage boxes and other types of boxes that have a lid. More specifically, the system includes a round hook-like piece on the body of the receptacle and an extendable T-shaped handle attached to the lid. The T-shaped handle can be attached to an elastic band to facilitate users pulling the handle downward toward the hook. In order to secure the lid to the top of the receptacle, the T-shaped handle is elastically secured to the underside of the hook. Securing the handle to the underside of the hook tightly secures the lid to the body of the receptacle. The lid is kept closed until the T-shaped handle is manually moved from the underside of the hook.

A self-adaptive air bag blocking device is disclosed. The device includes an air bag, a first gas conveying pipe and a second gas conveying pipe, wherein an air chamber is formed in the air bag, a ring-shaped abutting surface is formed on the peripheral side of the air bag, so that the abutting surface abuts against a mouth of a container. The first gas conveying pipe is communicated with the air chamber and the outer part of the air bag, so that air enters the air chamber to enable the air bag to expand. The abutting surface is elastically deformed and tightly abuts against the inner wall of the container to form air-tight abutment, and the second gas conveying pipe is arranged on the air bag, so that air enters the container through the second gas conveying pipe, and thus the working liquid is discharged.
