A substantially paper-based composite container for an off-gassing product includes a paperboard can body having a substantially gas-impervious liner attached to an inner surface thereof, and a pair of substantially paper-based end closures attached to the opposite ends of the can body, each end closure defining a generally cylindrical sealing panel in contact with an inner surface of the can body. Heat-sealable materials are disposed on opposing surfaces of the sealing panel and can body. The sealing panels of the end closures are attached to the can body by heat seals. The heat seal for at least one of the end closures is discontinuous such that at least one vent channel extends through the heat seal so as to establish fluid communication between an interior of the composite container and the environment outside the composite container. The at least one vent channel is operable to vent excess gas pressure from the interior of the container.

A display package for a consumer product includes a base, a surround window positioned upon the base, and a top cover positioned upon the surround window. Each of the front, back, and two opposed side walls include a respective edge defining an upper perimeter of each of the walls and each of the front, back, and two opposed side walls include a respective edge defining a lower perimeter of each of the walls, wherein these upper and lower edges are constructed such that when the surround window is positioned upon the base and the top cover is positioned upon the surround window the front exposed surface area is greater than the back exposed surface area and wherein when the surround window is removed from between the base and top cover, the edges of the top cover are constructed to mate in a close fitting relationship with the edges of the base.

First and second closures operate to close first and second apertures and fastening means operable to secure said first and second closures. The tubular wall element comprises a multiple-layer winding of single-sided corrugated sheet, with the layers coupled together whereby to define a high level of thermal resistance.

The packaging structuring includes a box section, which has its own base in order for the products to be placed onto and an opening section which enables the products to be placed into the box section and the opening of the box to be closed afterwards. A tray section is connected to the box section has a base separate from the box section. Further, a tearing section is provided which holds the box section and the tray section together and also enables these to be torn away from each other when needed.

A tray blank for a storage box includes a planar center panel defining a first side edge, a second side edge opposite the first side edge, a first end edge, and a second end edge opposite the first end edge, a first fastener slot formed through the center panel at the first side edge and a second fastener slot formed through the center panel at the second side edge, the first fastener slot laterally aligned with the second fastener slot; a first side panel formed monolithically with the center panel and hingedly connected to the first side edge, the first side panel coplanar with the center panel; and a second side panel formed monolithically with the center panel and hingedly connected to the second side edge, the second side panel coplanar with the center panel and the first side panel.
