PRESSURE RELIEF ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS
A closure 20 for a pressurized container having a plate with a top side 24 and a bottom side 28, a first notch 22 that extends about a first axis A1 along the top side, and a second notch 26 that extends about the first axis along the bottom side. The first and second notch form a membrane 62 that is capable of being ruptured when a maximum pressure causes the membrane to rupture.
Pressure Relief Assemblies and Methods
The present disclosure generally relates to a venting system that includes a wall of a lid or a container. The lid or container defines a central longitudinal axis, and a line segment that is measured from the longitudinal axis to an outermost surface of the lid or container, and a pressure relief feature that is disposed along the lid or container. The pressure relief feature includes a thinned region of the lid or container that defines a minimum thickness that is less than 40% of a maximum thickness of the respective lid or container.
Container and method for manufacturing container
There is provided a container that makes it possible to suppress intrusion of bacteria from the tip of a pleat part into the inside of the container. The container includes: a main body that includes a body part defining a containing portion and a flange part extending outward from an upper portion of the body part; and a lid that is joined to the flange part of the main body via an outer edge seal portion so as to cover the containing portion, the lid being formed by a lid member folded back at a fold-back portion such that portions of the lid member overlap each other. The lid has: a pleat part that includes the portions of the lid member overlapping each other and that extends from an edge of one side to an edge of the other side of the lid in a first direction; and a first lid part and a second lid part that are formed by the lid member and that are arranged on opposite sides of the pleat part. The pleat part includes: a pleat seal portion in which inner surfaces of the portions of the lid member are joined together and that extends from the edge of the one side to the edge of the other side of the lid in the first direction; and a steam passing portion that includes a through hole or a cutout formed in the pleat seal portion. Seal strength of the pleat seal portion is lower than that of the outer edge seal portion.
Pressure relief element, pressure relief device and battery
The present invention relates to a pressure relief element (11) to be used as an overpressure safety means in devices where a gaseous medium must be rapidly released in case of overpressure, wherein the pressure relief element (11) has at least one notch (9) which is designed as a predetermined breaking point where the pressure relief element (11) breaks at a certain level of overpressure, thereby irreversibly opening an exhaust path for the gaseous medium. The present invention also relates to a pressure relief device of an electrochemical battery, comprising such a pressure relief element and a battery comprising such a pressure relief device.
Beverage container having a pressure-relief device and a method of manufacturing a beverage container having a pressure-relief device
The present invention relates to a container assembly for accommodating a beverage. The container assembly comprises a collapsible beverage container having a body part for accommodating the beverage and a cylindrical neck part defining a gas-filled headspace. The container assembly further comprises a closure sealing off an opening of the cylindrical neck part. The closure comprises a closure disc, an inner cylindrical part and an outer cylindrical part. The closure disc comprises a beverage outlet for extracting the beverage. The closure further comprises a pressure-relief device located at the closure disc or the inner cylindrical part. The pressure-relief device is capable of establishing a permanent or reclosable opening through the closure or between the closure and the neck part for allowing a flow of fluid from the headspace to an external space when a pressure difference exceeds a predetermined pressure value being lower than the burst pressure of the container.
Pressure relief assemblies and methods
The present disclosure generally relates to a venting system that includes a wall of a lid or a container, the lid or container defining a central longitudinal axis, and a line segment that is measured from the longitudinal axis to an outermost surface of the lid or container, and a pressure relief feature that is disposed along the lid or container. The pressure relief feature includes a thinned region of the lid or container that defines a minimum thickness that is less than 40% of a maximum thickness of the respective lid or container. The pressure relief feature extends at least 180 degrees about the longitudinal axis, and the pressure relief feature is located at a distance from the longitudinal axis of more than 80% of the line segment.
PRESSURE RELIEF ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS
The present disclosure generally relates to a venting system that includes a lid or base with a center wall that defines a central longitudinal axis, and a total radius that is measured from the longitudinal axis to an outermost surface of the lid or base. The venting system further includes a pressure relief feature that is disposed along the lid or base. The pressure relief feature includes at least a first venting feature defining a thinned region of the lid or base, a venting radius is measured from the longitudinal axis to an outermost extent of the first venting feature, and the venting radius is between about 5% and about 25% of the total radius of the lid or base.
A VENTABLE PACKAGE FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGES
The present application provides a ventable package capable of releasing pressure upon the application of heat or internal pressure. The ventable package may include a container and a lid. The lid may include a sealing layer attached to the container and a foil layer attached to the sealing layer. The sealing layer may include one or more slits therein such that, upon the application of heat or internal pressure, the foil layer separates from the sealing layer about the one or more slits to release the pressure therein.
PRESSURE AUTO-ADJUSTING PACKAGE FOR HEATED FOOD
In a pressure auto-adjusting package for a heated food and a composite membrane thereof, the composite membrane includes a first membrane coated with a partial release layer thereon in a predetermined width, a second membrane provided with a cutting line corresponding to the partial release layer, and a glue layer disposed between the first membrane and the second membrane to glue the first membrane and the second membrane together, the first membrane and the second membrane are pseudo-glued at the position of the partial release layer, the cutting line of the second membrane is disposed at a heat seal opening and extends to the accommodating space. The package has a pressure generated therein when being heated, the pressure enters into a pseudo-glued area between the second membrane and the first membrane from the cutting line to form a gap where the pressure is released to prevent explosion.
