Generally described, aspects of the disclosed subject matter are directed to removable cable ties for bundling of cables or the fastening of objects. In accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, the removable cable tie generally includes an elongate web, a first tooth and a second tooth projecting bilaterally from the web, and a retaining portion positioned at a first end of the web comprising a first leg and a second leg spaced apart to form a c-shaped pocket. The pocket is configured to receive the web and allow sliding movement of the web in a first direction, while preventing the sliding movement of the web in a second direction opposite the first direction. In some configurations, the cable tie may be disassembled and reused by twisting the web within the pocket to release the web.

At least one body engagement member is disposed on the inner wall having a holding surface laterally bound by a first end and a second end. The holding surface has a non-linear surface profile between the first end and second end. A strap is adapted to be passed through the opening in a direction of insertion, the strap having a plurality of strap engagement members. Each of the strap engagement members includes a contact surface laterally bound by a first strap end and a second strap end. The contact surface has a non-linear surface profile between the first strap end and second strap end. The non-linear contact surface profile of the strap is configured to nest within the non-linear holding surface profile upon advancement of the strap in a direction opposite the direction of insertion.

An in-line object bundling system including a body and a strap is disclosed. The body has an insertion channel extending through the body, the channel including a first channel wall and a second channel wall opposite the first channel wall. At least one engagement member is disposed on the first channel wall. At least one biasing member is disposed on the second channel wall. The strap has a first strap surface and a second strap surface. The second strap surface includes strap engagement members. When the strap is inserted in the insertion channel the at least one biasing member contacts the first strap surface and thereby urges the strap engagement members proximate the at least one engagement member on the first channel wall.
