Liquid Release Device
A hollow container is combined with a burstable envelope retaining a liquid agent. The container is designed to allow a user to open the envelope by bursting or likewise rupturing the envelope while it remains in the container. The design of the envelope provides a predictable bursting location and a lower bursting pressure of the envelope to provide a more controlled release of liquid agent. Bursting forces may be applied in any of a variety of ways just as by twisting or crushing. The design allows for desired use of beneficial envelope materials such as polyester films that are otherwise difficult to rupture.
Break-open single-dose packages
A break-open single-dose package includes a panel defining a frangible region, one or more sheets coupled to the panel and defining a pocket therebetween for storing a spreadable consumable, and an applicator. The frangible region is adapted to form an opening through which the spreadable consumable can exit in response to folding of the panel. The applicator includes a backing and a vessel extending from the backing. The vessel defines a channel for receiving any spreadable consumable that exits the pocket. The applicator is positioned adjacent to the frangible region for permitting a user to spread on a surface any spreadable consumable that exits the pocket using the applicator without requiring the user's hand(s) to contact the spreadable consumable. The backing is configured to move with the panel and separate from the vessel in response to folding of the panel. Other example packages and/or applicators are also disclosed.
Display packaging for mounting articles
Disclosed are display packages allowing consumers to quickly and easily determine whether a given mounting article should be used to hang or otherwise retain a desired object. The display packages include a projection designed to tear or otherwise separate from a backing once an object exceeding a recommended weight is mounted on the projection. If the projection remains attached to the backing, the mounting article is appropriate for the object. If the projection separates, another mounting article should be used.
SINGLE-SERVING DISPOSABLE CONTAINER (VARIANTS)
The group relates to single-serving disposable containers for packaging. A single-serving disposable container is proposed, comprising a front wall of the container and a back wall of the container, which are connected to each other forming an inner sealed cavity designed to contain a granular product with a weight from 1 to 20 g. According to the first variant, in the container, the front and the back walls of the container are made of paper with a density from 18 g/m.sup.2 to 90 g/m.sup.2 with a laminating layer with a density from 10 g/m.sup.2 to 40 g/m.sup.2. According to the second variant, in the container, the front and the back walls of the container are made of a polymer film with a thickness from 12 microns to 80 microns. The invention is aimed at the creation of a container, while opening which with one hand a uniform and more accurate extraction of a granular product from the dispensing outlet of the product, located in the bottom part of the container, is ensured.
DISPOSABLE PACKAGE WITH BREAK OPENING
A disposable package with break opening for dispensing a liquid, dense or semi-dense product, has a semi-rigid film and a flexible film forming a volume for containing the liquid, dense or semi-dense product. The semi-rigid film has at least one layer of an admixed material. The admixed material has a base polymer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene and polyethylene and an additive selected from the group consisting cyclic olefin copolymers, a mineral filler, and a nucleating agent. The flexible film has at least one layer including the base polymer, so that the disposable package is monomaterial.
Apparatus, arrangement and method for providing skin care ingredients
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a cosmetic arrangement can be provided, which can include a first structure that can enclose a cosmetic active ingredient(s), a second structure that can enclose a solvent solution, a third structure(s) that can separate the solvent solution from the cosmetic active ingredient(s), a medium that can be configured to absorb a mixture of the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and solvent solution, and an indicator structure that can be configured to indicate whether the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and the solvent solution have come in contact with one another. Upon an application of a particular amount of pressure on a portion(s) of the arrangement, the cosmetic active ingredient(s) and the solvent solution can be caused to come into direct contact with one another.
PACKAGES CONTAINING A FOOD PRODUCT AND METHODS OF OPENING
A package (10) containing a food product (12) is provided where the package is configured to facilitate opening by using the food product to initiate opening of the package. The package includes an outer wrapper (14) with a line of weakness (34) that is generally aligned with or above an upper profile of the food product such that when the wrapper is pulled against the food product one or more stress concentrations is created along the line of weakness. The stress concentrations facilitate initiation of tearing or rupturing along the line of weakness (34) such that a portion of the package can be completely or at least partially removed to expose at least a portion of the food product (12).
TOOTHPASTE AND SOLUTION CAPSULE STORAGE AND DELIVERY SYSTEMS
A water-soluble capsule (1) for storing and dispensing single-use toothpaste (3) or other substance, each capsule preferably having a finger handle (4) and a storage container (5) for holding a desired supply of capsules. Each capsule has an exterior skin (2) that is pierceable by a capsule piercing pin (9, 11) so that squeezing the capsule dispenses the substance. Alternatively, a capsule may have a weak point (12) so that squeezing the capsule (1) causes the weak point (12) to rupture and release the substance (3) from the capsule (1).
Substance applicator having a controllable substance flowrate
Various embodiments are directed to an applicator for dispensing a substance according to a desired flow rate. The applicator comprises a flexible card, a substance reservoir attached thereto, and an applicator head secured to the flexible card opposite the substance reservoir. The applicator head comprises a plurality of pores that, when secured to the flexible card, are compressed. In various embodiments, the pores are compressed by physical compression and/or by annealing. Upon flexing the flexible card along a score line, the substance reservoir ruptures and the substance is directed into the applicator head. Upon introduction of the substance to the applicator head, the pores of the applicator head expand and the substance is directed to an applicator surface of the applicator head.
PACKAGES HAVING SEPARABLE SEALING FEATURES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
A package includes a first pouch and either a second pouch or a cover, where the pouches are configured to contain a product, such as a food product, and attached relative to each other about a hinge. The package includes at least one closure flap. The first and second pouches or first pouch and cover are movable about the hinge from a closed position where access is at least partially blocked by the closure flap when in the closed position and wherein the closure flap is separated to allow greater access when in an open position. Methods of manufacturing such packages are also provided.
