The flexible container includes a front panel, a rear panel, and gusseted side panels adjoining the front panel and the rear panel along peripheral seals. Each peripheral seal having an arcuate body seal inner edge (ABSIE) and a tapered seal inner edge extending from each end of a body seal. The ABSIE has a radius of curvature from 1.0 mm to 300.0 mm. The bag-in-box assembly includes a top perimeter, a center perimeter, and a bottom perimeter as well as an aggregate contact length (ACL) at each perimeter. A top ACL is from 50% to 90% of the top perimeter, a center ACL is from 5% to 50% of the center perimeter, and a bottom ACL is from 50% to 90% of the bottom perimeter.
Closure device and liquid container
The present invention relates to a closure device (10) for closing a liquid pouch, comprising: a base body (12) formed as a one-piece element, comprising a flat flange edge (14) for connecting the base body to the liquid pouch, and a portal structure (16) with a main section (18), a first valve section (20) and a second valve section (22), wherein the first valve section comprises a first opening (24) that is accessible from the outside and that is designed for inserting and withdrawing a fluid, and the second valve section comprises a second opening (26) that is accessible from the outside and that is designed for inserting and withdrawing a fluid; a first valve element (28) that is arranged within the first valve section for reversibly closing the first opening, and a second valve element (44) that is arranged within the second valve section for reversibly closing the second opening, wherein the first opening and the second opening are arranged parallel to the flange edge. The invention further relates to a liquid container comprising a liquid pouch and a closure device (10).
Multi piece corrugated box assemblies, blanks, and systems for heavy bag in box dispensed products
Corrugated box assemblies, blanks, and systems for individually shipping a bag of liquid stored therein and converting an inner portion into a bag-in-box dispenser are provided. An example box assembly includes an inner portion including a plurality of walls. The inner portion includes an interior configured to receive and store the bag of liquid, which may range from about 3 to 6 gallons. The inner portion further includes a removable perforation feature defined by a series of perforations on at least one of a front wall and a front top flap extending from the front wall. A top portion and a bottom portion each include a plurality of walls that, when formed, define an opening sized to fit around the inner portion. The box assembly may be configured to pass individual box shipping test standards, such as ISTA and SIOC test standards. Methods of forming the box assembly are also provided.
Pierceable closure valve assembly
The present application relates to a closure assembly for connection to a spout in fluid communication with a container. The closure assembly includes a housing configured to be secured to the spout and including a fluid passageway and a piercable membrane in the fluid passageway. The closure assembly includes a retention member configured to be secured to the housing and a flexible valve that is positioned in the fluid passageway of the housing and that is secured to the housing by the retention member. The closure assembly is configured to receive a piercing element that extends into the housing such that the piercing member can pierce the valve and the membrane, and the retention member has locking elements that engage the piercing element to lock the piercing element in place with respect to the assembly.
Fitment for dispensing fluids from a flexible container and related applications
A fitment assembly for use with a spout of a fluid container. The assembly includes a fitment and a poppet seal with a flexible element. The fitment includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The poppet seal extends from the bottom portion into the top portion. An attachment portion secures the flexible element within the bottom portion of the fitment. The flexible element provides a closing force to move the poppet seal from a closed to an open position. The poppet seal has a closed position, an open position, and a transport position. The poppet seal has a central support member that extends from the sealing surface of the poppet seal into the top portion of the fitment in the closed and transport condition.
Fluid Distribution And Dispensing System
