SYRINGE PREFILLED WITH PHARMACEUTICAL FLUID
A prepackaged injectable pharmaceutical composition includes a sealed outer package made of a material having a low oxygen transmission rate and an inner package disposed within the sealed outer package. The inner package is configured to provide an indication that the inner package has been opened after being closed. A prefilled syringe is disposed within the inner package. The syringe includes a barrel comprising a polymeric material and a dose of the injectable pharmaceutical composition.
DAUCUS-BASED COMPOSITIONS FOR OXYGEN MODIFIED PACKAGING
Disclosed are daucus-based oxygen scavenging compositions and materials, particularly of the carrot species, and their methods of use in containers and packaging of oxygen sensitive products. Further disclosed are daucus-based oxygen scavenging materials used in combination with tea-based oxygen scavenging compositions. Such compositions, materials and containers are of use for preserving the shelf-life of a myriad of products such as foods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, tobacco and cannabis.
METHOD FOR PREVENTING OR REDUCING CANNABACEAE BIOMASS DECOMPOSITION
The present disclosure relates to a method for preventing or reducing cannabaceae biomass decomposition during storage by packaging an amount of the biomass in a flexible film of gas impervious material to provide a cannabaceae biomass package which is impermeable to gases.
WEB OF CLEANING PRODUCTS HAVING A MODIFIED INTERNAL ATMOSPHERE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A web (8) of cleaning products (10) and a method of manufacturing the same is disclosed. The web includes first (20) and second carrier (30) sheets and a plurality of pouches (50) containing a cleaning composition. Each of the pouches is disposed in a respective depression (26) formed in an upper surface (28) of the first carrier sheet. A first internal atmosphere (80) is enclosed within each of the pouches. The first carrier sheet is sealed to the second carrier sheet such that a second internal atmosphere (82) exists between the second carrier sheet and the plurality of pouches. The second internal atmosphere has a greater absolute pressure (P) than the first internal atmosphere so that the plurality of pouches and at least a portion of the cleaning composition in the plurality of pouches are compressed into the plurality of depressions in the first carrier sheet by the second internal atmosphere.
ACTIVE POUCHES AND METHODS OF USE
Described herein are active pouches for obtaining selected release rates of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) therefrom. A pouch is a sealed thermoplastic containment or envelope defining an interior volume that is excluded from free exchange with the atmosphere, yet is permeable to both 1-MCP gas and water vapor. The active pouches enclose and contain a clathrate of 1-methylcyclopropene with α-cyclodextrin (1-MCP/CD). The rate of 1-MCP release from an active pouch subjected to a selected set of humidity-mediated disgorgement conditions may be varied by varying the interior volume of the active pouch relative to the amount of 1-MCP/CD contained within the active pouch.
NON-UNIFORMLY PERFORATED PLASTIC BAG
Provided is a perforated plastic bag wherein the volume of said bag is 100 liters or more; wherein the average perforation diameter is 500 micrometers or less; wherein said plastic bag comprises a lower zone and a top zone, wherein the perforation density of said lower zone is greater than the perforation density of said top zone. Also provided is a method of using such a plastic bag.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SMOKING ARTICLE PACK
Apparatus and Method for Manufacturing a Smoking Article Pack An apparatus (10) for manufacturing a sealed pack (20, 34, 36, 37) of smoking articles (2) and modifying an internal atmosphere thereof. The apparatus (10) comprises a handling mechanism (13) for conveying a sealed pack (20) of smoking articles (2) within the apparatus (10). The handling mechanism (13) includes a support plate (24) against which a pack (20) abuts during conveyance by the handling mechanism (13). The support plate (24) includes a gas port (29). The apparatus (10) is configured such that, as a pack (20) is conveyed by the handling mechanism (13) in abutment with the support plate (24), the gas port (29) may engage a valve (4) formed in the pack (20) to enable a gaseous atmosphere within the sealed (20) pack to be modified. Also, a method of manufacturing a pack (37) of smoking articles (2) by means of such an apparatus (10).
PRODUCT POUCH ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Disclosed is a product pouch arrangement and method of (for) manufacture thereof. The product pouch arrangement includes at least a first compartment and a second compartment, the first compartment in use includes a plurality of shock cushioning elements that cushion the one or more products, and also optically protect the one or more products, the second compartment accommodates in use the one or more products, at least one of the first and second compartments are resealable so that the one or more products and/or the plurality of cushioning elements are user-accessible and the first and second compartments have surrounding walls that are fabricated from at least one flexible plastics material that transmits electromagnetic radiation in a wavelength range to which a human eye responds but attenuates radiation in an ultra violet (UV) electromagnetic wavelength range.
Package unit comprising a packaging and a circular plate-like accessory for power tools contained in the packaging
The invention refers to a package unit (22) comprising a packaging (20) and at least one polishing pad (2), sanding pad, backing or supporting plate or similar circular plate-like accessory for power tools, in particular hand-guided polishers or sanders, contained in the packaging (20). It is suggested that the packaging (20) is a flow pack containing only a single polishing pad (2), sanding pad, backing or supporting plate or similar circular plate-like accessory for power tools.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PACKAGING ELASTOMER PARTS
A packaging method for packaging elastomer parts (1), such as stoppers for pharmaceutical containers, the method comprising the following steps: packaging parts (1) in a primary bag (10) made of material that is substantially impermeable to gas; and introducing in said primary bag (10), a nitrogen-based atmosphere, with at least 80% nitrogen; said primary bag (10) being packaged in a secondary bag (20), with a vacuum being applied between said primary bag (10) and said secondary bag (20)
