Whipped formulations
The present disclosure relates to, inter alia, a formulation in a package. The formulation comprises one or more active agents and is co-mingled with a whipping agent prior to being filled under pressure into the package. The whipping agent is added in sufficient amounts to be dispersed in the formulation. The pressurized package is under sufficient pressure suitable to maintain the whipping agent dispersed in the formulation; and the pressurized package is under sufficient pressure to expel the formulation as a whipped formulation upon application of external force on the formulation in the package.
DERMAL REJUVENATION COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS
The present invention relates, e.g., to a system for treating damaged skin, comprising a cosmeceutical formulation comprising about 1-10% of a mixture of perfluorocarbons (PFC's) of at least three different molecular weights, and about 0.001-5% hyaluronic acid (HA) of molecular weight about 100 kDa or less, packaged in an aerosol spray container.
SPRAY FOAM PRODUCT
A method applying a pharmaceutical composition as a foam is disclosed. The pharmaceutical composition includes a quick-break foaming agent including an aliphatic alcohol, water, a fatty alcohol and a surface active agent; a buffering agent; and a propellant. The method includes spraying the composition from a pressurizable container that comprises an aerosol valve assembly including a dip tube communicating with a valve orifice through which the composition is dispensed and an actuator to start and stop dispensation.
PRESSURIZED CHEMICAL THEFT DETERRENT DEVICE
A pressurized chemical theft deterrent device includes a locking portion and a shackle. The locking portion includes a locking mechanism. The shackle includes a shackle wall. The shackle is configured to house a chemical deterrent within the shackle wall. The chemical deterrent is pressurized while being housed inside the shackle such that a breach in the integrity of the shackle wall causes an aerosolized release of the chemical deterrent.
Sprayhead for a spray device
A sprayhead for use with an aerosol container, the sprayhead including a chassis capable of firm attachment to the container; a rotatable circular collar; a spray channel and associated actuator button; and an over-cap; the rotatable circular collar being rotatable between a first and second position, wherein, when the rotatable circular collar is in the first position, a holding feature of the rotatable circular collar interacts with a holding feature of the chassis and wherein the rotatable circular collar further includes a projection that interacts with a non-rotating feature of the overcap to produce an audible signal when the rotatable circular collar is rotated between its first and second position.
BASE FOR CONTAINER OF A VISCOUS PRODUCT AND A PROPELLANT
A method and apparatus for storing and dispensing a viscous product. The product and a propellant are stored in a container on a base, and the propellant forms a head space. In a storage configuration, the container rests on the base, the base rests on a surface, and the propellant in the head space and the product tend to move toward positions wherein the propellant in the head space is at a higher elevation than the product and the product is at a higher elevation than an inlet to a dispenser. In one aspect, the base comprises a first portion, a second portion comprising a lid, a sidewall comprising a window, and an interior. In a second aspect, the method comprises storing the container in the storage configuration, removing the lid to expose a dispenser, dispensing the product, and viewing an interior of the base through the window.
ANHYDROUS AEROSOL COMPOSITION BASED ON PARTICLES ENCAPSULATING A BENEFICIAL AGENT
The present invention relates to an anhydrous composition comprising: 1) at least particles releasing a beneficial agent comprising a core containing at least one beneficial agent and an envelope surrounding the core; said envelope comprising at least one hydrophobically modified polysaccharide and at least one water-soluble carbohydrate and/or water-soluble polyol;
said particles simultaneously having a poured powder density ranging from 300.0 g/l to 600.0 g/l and an absolute density of greater than 1.0 and 2) at least propellant.
The invention also relates to a cosmetic process for caring for and/or for the hygiene of and/or for conditioning and/or for fragrancing and/or for making up a keratin material, which consists in applying to said keratin material a composition as defined previously.
The invention additionally relates to a cosmetic process for treating body odor and optionally human perspiration, which consists in applying to a keratin material a composition as defined previously comprising at least one deodorant active agent and/or antiperspirant active agent in free form and/or in encapsulated form.
Dispenser
A dispensing device includes a housing, a substrate having a surface and disposed within the housing, a reservoir disposed within the housing and having a volatile active, and an activator operatively connected to the reservoir. When the activator is activated, the volatile active is released from the reservoir onto the surface to create a first quantity of volatile active having a first emanation rate and a second quantity of volatile active having a second emanation rate.
Manufacture of medicinal aerosol canisters
The present invention relates to methods of making medicinal aerosol canisters (10), in particular metered dose canisters (10), comprising aerosol formulation comprising medicament particles suspended in liquid propellant, for example for delivery by pulmonary or nasal inhalation as well as medicinal dispensers (100) including such canisters (10), such as metered dose medicinal dispenser in particular pressurized metered dose inhalers, wherein the liquid propellant in some embodiments contains HFA 134a and/or HFA 227, and the propellant component is subjected to one or more ultrasonic probes.
METHOD OF DRY DYE DELIVERY FOR STAINING THE EYE
A device and method for staining the eye of a patient in need of the same includes the introduction, onto the surface of the eye, of a dry powder form at a dye suitable for staining the eye. The dry powder form of the dye is introduced onto the surface of the eye without the use of a substrate at or near the eye's surface.
