Method and system operating a controlled atmosphere system

A method is provided for operating a controlled atmosphere (CA) system to regulate the atmosphere in a cargo storage space. The CA system comprises a gas exchange module operable to vary the level of a component gas in the cargo storage space, a control module to control operation of the gas exchange module, and at least one of an oxygen sensor and a carbon dioxide sensor, each being operable to measure a parameter indicative of a level of oxygen or carbon dioxide respectively in the cargo storage space. The method comprises: the control module determining a respiration parameter value indicative of the rate of change of oxygen level and/or the rate of change of carbon dioxide level in the cargo storage space due to respiration of goods in the cargo storage space; and the control module controlling operation of the gas exchange module based on the determined respiration parameter value to target an oxygen level setpoint and/or a carbon dioxide level setpoint.

The cargo container includes a main container body defining a storage chamber therein and including at least one inlet. The cargo container also includes a transformable assembly coupled to the main container body and positioned at an exterior of the main container body. The transformable assembly includes one or more supplemental containers and one or more supply ducts, at least one of the supplemental container(s) being configured to house refrigeration equipment. The transformable assembly is movable between an aircraft configuration and a ground configuration. Based on the transformable assembly being in either the aircraft configuration or the ground configuration, the refrigeration equipment is configured to supply coolant into the main container body via the supply duct(s) and the inlet(s).

ADJUSTABLE TRUCK COMPARTMENT SYSTEM

An example adjustable truck compartment is described. The truck compartment includes a first side wall including a first guiding rail extending between a proximal end and a distal end, and a second side wall disposed opposite from the first side wall, the second side wall including a second guiding rail extending between a proximal end and a distal end of the second side wall. The truck compartment includes a rear wall coupled to the distal ends of the first and second side walls to define an enclosure between the first side wall, the second side wall, and the rear wall. The truck compartment includes a first divider panel configured to be received by the first and second guiding rails and within the enclosure in an orientation parallel to a floor of the enclosure to separate the enclosure into a first enclosure volume and a second enclosure volume.

HOPPER BOTTOM FOR SUPPORTING A CYLINDRICAL SIDE WALL OF A GRAIN BIN WITH DUCTING AND OPENINGS TO INTRODUCE AIR INTO THE GRAIN BIN
20230015981 · 2023-01-19 ·

A hopper bottom for supporting a cylindrical side wall of a grain bin thereon comprises an outer wall arranged to be supported on a support surface and an inclined inner wall supported in spaced relation vertically above the outer wall, which has an inverted cone shape. A manifold or ducting is provided between the outer and inner walls for guiding air received from a blower between the outer and inner walls. Ventilation openings are provided across a full radius of the inner wall so that the air from the manifold is released upwardly to ventilate material received vertically above the hopper bottom. The manifold or ducting also is in fluidic communication with a discharge chute formed between openings in the inner and outer walls, through which the material passes on exit from the hopper bottom, to emit the air in an inward and downward direction to assist the gravity discharge.

RIGID FUMIGANT BARRIER FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER DOOR

A lightweight barrier insert door is attached to an enclosure, such as a shipping container that holds a product to be fumigated, such as during transport of the product to a new location. The barrier insert door fits within the doorway of the container to provide a sealed barrier to mitigate leakage of a fumigant from the interior of the container. The barrier also includes air intake ports to maintain the structural integrity of the container and to provide ambient air to the interior. Additional ports allow for connection for fumigant entry, monitoring, and/or an exhaust hose to be connected to or through the barrier for the fumigation process. The barrier can be height adjustable to account for shipping containers of various sizes and can be connected with fumigant exhaust and release systems for the safe release thereof.

GAS TURBINE ENGINE STORAGE AND TRANSPORT CONTAINER

A gas turbine storage container is composed of a horizontal cylindrical shell with openings at two opposite ends of the cylinder, outside is designed with frames to keep it fixed and has straps to install ropes when hoisting. The inside of the cylindrical shell is pumped with inert gas and contains desiccant. The engine is housed in a mount that can be fixed to the inside of the box, and has wheels to make it possible to move it out of the box. A sensor system that measures the temperature and humidity status inside the cylindrical shell can provide information about the quality of the gas stored in the cylindrical shell in real time without opening.
