CART TIPPER PROTECTION DEVICE AND PROCESS

The waste truck having a hydraulically operated packer blade in combination with a hydraulically operated rotary cart tipper driven by a rotary actuator. The packer blade resides within a chamber of the truck and is movable therein. The hydraulically driven rotary actuator of the cart tipper rotates the cart tipper from a first down position to a second up position and includes a metallic shaft with an arcuate slot therein sensed by an inductive proximity sensor. The diverter valve is a solenoid operated, 2-way normally open, pilot operated poppet valve and functions as a hydraulic interrupt valve which permits safe operation of the hydraulically operated packer blade and prevents collisions of the packer blade with the rotary cart tipper.

Electric power take-off for a refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, an energy storage device, a body, and an electric power take-off system. The energy storage device (e.g., a battery) is supported by the chassis and is configured to provide electrical power to a prime mover. Activation of the prime mover selectively drives the refuse vehicle. The body is configured for storing refuse, and is supported by the chassis. The electric power take-off system is positioned on the body and includes an inverter, an electric motor, and a hydraulic pump that is drive by the electric motor. The inverter receives electrical power from the energy storage device and supplies electrical power to the electric motor. The electric motor drives the hydraulic pump to convert the electrical power into hydraulic power.

SERVICE VERIFICATION FOR A REAR LOADING REFUSE VEHICLE

A service verification system for a rear loading refuse vehicle includes a motion sensor on a tailgate of the refuse vehicle. The motion sensor is configured to sense refuse being loaded into a tailgate hopper and to provide a time-stamped triggering signal corresponding to a refuse loading event. An onboard processor is configured to receive the triggering signal and evaluate other sensor data to correlate the refuse loading event with an entity.

REFUSE COLLECTION WITH AUGER AND CONTAMINATION DETECTION PANEL

A refuse collection vehicle includes a packer system with an auger screw, one or more refuse support panels, one or more sensing devices, and a refuse support panel actuator system. The refuse support panel(s) support refuse while characteristics of the refuse are sensed. The refuse support panel actuator system moves the refuse support panels such that refuse is released from the refuse support panels in to the packer system. A driver of the packer system rotates the auger screw such the refuse is packed into a storage compartment of the vehicle.

Battery placement for electric refuse vehicle

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body, and a plurality of battery cells. The chassis includes a right frame member and a left frame member spaced apart in a lateral direction and extending lengthwise in a longitudinal direction. The body is coupled to the chassis. The plurality of battery cells are longitudinally disposed along the chassis, positioned between the right frame member and the left frame member.

BATTERY PLACEMENT FOR ELECTRIFIED VEHICLE

An electrified vehicle includes a chassis and a plurality of battery cells positioned along the chassis. The chassis includes a right frame member and a left frame member spaced apart in a lateral direction. The right frame member and the left frame member both include vertical portions, first end portions extending from first ends of the vertical portions towards each other, and second end portions extending from second ends of the vertical portions towards each other. The right frame member and the left frame member are configured to support a cab and a body. The right frame member and the left frame member extend lengthwise in a longitudinal direction. The plurality of battery cells are coupled with the right frame member and the left frame member by fasteners that couple with the vertical portions of the right frame member and the left frame member.

Multi-use garbage truck

A multi-use garbage truck has an ability to not only to front load containers of garbage into a hopper in a refuse collection body, but also an ability to swap out the forks, if not arm connection assemblies, or even entire frame arms, to be replaced with one of a plurality of attachments which connect to at least one, if not both frame arms with attachments for various uses such as snow plow, leaf blower, street sweeper, bucket, grapple, etc. Furthermore, an ability to independently operate the left frame arm relative to the right frame arm can now be provided so that the left frame arm can utilize and perform one function and the right frame arm provide another or at least be independently operable from one another.
