Systems and methods for connecting containers
A rail can include first and transverse channels defined therein. A container can include a rod, a spring, a first plate assembly, and a second plate assembly. The first plate assembly can include a first transverse bearing disposed in the first transverse channel. The second plate assembly can include a second transverse bearing disposed in the second transverse channel. A robotic assembly can include a robotic arm. The robotic arm can include opposing grips defining a grip space therebetween. A processing system including one or more processors can be configured to, via the robotic assembly: align the grip space with the container rod; drive the rod against the spring; allow the spring to relax and thereby separate the first plate assembly from the second plate assembly; position the rod such that the first transverse bearing and the second transverse bearing are simultaneously withdrawn from the first and second transverse channels.
Systems and methods for filling containers
A rail can include an entry portion, an exit portion, and a middle portion disposed between the entry and exit portions. The middle portion can be lower than the entry and exit portions. The rail can be configured to couple with a container such that the container is movable, along the rail, from the entry portion to the exit portion. A first storage rack can be disposed on a first side of the rail middle portion and a second storage rack can be disposed on an opposing side of the rail middle portion. A processing system can be configured to: receive an order; analyze the order based on an inventory of the first storage rack and the second storage rack; and cause the container to move from the rail entry portion to the rail middle portion based on the analysis.
TRANSPORT VEHICLE
A transport vehicle includes: a traveler; a transferer that is mounted on the traveler and receives or delivers an article from or to a transfer destination; and an antenna that is provided so that at least the position or the posture thereof can be changed to follow the action of the transferer, and that performs wireless communication with another device.
ARTICLE DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD THAT INCLUDES AN OVERHEAD RAIL NETWORK
System includes an article supply location including a plurality of articles, and an overhead rail network with a plurality of rail sections. A self-guided and self-propelled hanging vehicle travels in both directions along the plurality of rail sections. The hanging vehicle has a first position in which a carrier containing at least one selected article is engaged with the hanging vehicle and a second position in which the carrier is detached from the hanging vehicle. The system further includes a controller. The controller determines a first delivery location among a plurality of delivery locations to deliver, with the hanging vehicle, the selected article based on a destination determined for the selected article. The controller further directs delivery of the carrier at the first delivery location by manipulation of the hanging vehicle from the first position to the second position.
Garment packaging for direct-to-garment personalization kiosk
A direct-to-garment personalization system for personalizing an article having a direct-to-garment printer configured to print a graphic onto the article and a packaged article. The packaged article including the article to be printed; a hanger having a first arm coupled to a second arm, the first and second arms disposed in the article; and a container for receiving the hanger and the article in a rolled configuration. The system also includes a storage area containing the packaged article and a transfer system. The transfer system is configured to retrieve the packaged article from the storage area; remove the article from the container; and move the article to the direct-to-garment printer.
Garment personalization kiosk with orthogonal robotic retrieval system
Embodiments provide for systems and methods related to kiosks for personalizing a packaged article. The kiosks may also be used for storage, inventory management, retrieval, packaging, and/or personalization of packaged articles. The kiosks discussed herein differ from non-kiosk personalization systems, such as personalization systems installed on a factory or warehouse floor, in that the kiosks are self-contained personalization systems. In some embodiments, the kiosks are portable and can be moved between different sites or events. This portability allows the kiosks to personalize packaged articles for concerts, festivals, conventions, trade shows, and the like.
TRAVELING VEHICLE SYSTEM
A traveling vehicle system includes a traveling track, a working track, a mover to move a traveling vehicle between a first position on the traveling track and the working track, and a transportation controller configured or programmed to control at least the traveling vehicle and the mover. The transportation controller is configured or programmed to transmit to the traveling vehicle a first command to travel to the first position and transmit to the mover a third command to move the traveling vehicle stopped at the first position to the working track after or simultaneously when transmitting to the traveling vehicle stopped at the first position a second command to lead a state in which the traveling vehicle is movable by the mover.
VEHICLE SYSTEM
The object is to provide a vehicle system capable of suppressing a decrease in article transport efficiency while ensuring a route of an operator. The vehicle system includes a grid-patterned rail, a vehicle traveling on the rail, a controller that controls the vehicle, a work terminal that transmits identification information indicating an actual location to the controller, and a scaffold for allowing an operator carrying the work terminal to walk below the rail, the scaffold being provided below the rail. If entry permission to one or more cells formed by the rail is obtained from the controller, the vehicle enters the one or more cells. If entry permission to the one or more cells is not obtained from the controller, the vehicle does not enter the one or more cells. The controller performs blocking so as not to grant the vehicle the entry permission at least to a cell corresponding to the actual location indicated by the identification information transmitted from the work terminal, among a plurality of cells corresponding to a route of the operator from the entrance to the scaffold to the destination.
VEHICLE TILTING DEVICE, AN ACCESS STATION, A DELIVERY SYSTEM AND A METHOD OF ACCESSING A STORAGE, etc.
A vehicle tilting device for tilting a delivery vehicle for increasing access to items from a storage container transported on the delivery vehicle. The vehicle tilting device comprises a base structure and a tiltable platform connected to the base structure, wherein the tiltable platform comprises guiding features adapted to guide the delivery vehicle onto the tiltable platform. The tiltable platform is arranged to be connected to a delivery grid cell of a delivery rail system such that that there is a path to and/or from the tiltable platform for the delivery vehicle via the delivery grid cell. The invention is also related to an access station, a delivery system and a method of accessing a storage container.
Storage apparatus
An apparatus (10, 60) for storage of elongate elements, such as pipes, tubes and conduits. The apparatus (10, 60) includes a frame (12) that supports a plurality of trays (15, 63). The trays (15, 63) are arranged in two vertical columns of storage positions, except for the trays located at the top or bottom of the apparatus as they are moved about sprockets (71, 72) by a drive motor (73). Each tray (15, 63) is configured to support a plurality of elongate items. The trays (15, 63, which may embodied as cradles or racks, may be moved between a storage position and an access position, wherein in the access position, the elongate items can be accessed from substantially vertically above the tray (15, 63).
