Conveyor with shock-absorbing boom
11553649 · 2023-01-17 ·

A shock-absorbing conveyor boom includes a proximal portion and a distal portion, hingedly connected to the proximal portion, the proximal and distal portions supporting a laterally flexible endless conveyor belt. The distal portion is pivotal in a generally horizontal plane, and is biased toward longitudinal alignment with the proximal portion, whereby physical shock applied to the distal portion can be absorbed by lateral deflection of the distal portion.

METHOD FOR EMPTYING THE POCKETS OF A TRANSPORT DEVICE IN THE FORM OF A SUSPENSION CONVEYOR, AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD
20180002115 · 2018-01-04 · ·

A method for emptying the pockets of a transport device in the form of a suspension conveyor, the transport device including one or more trolleys which are movably mounted on a trolley track and on each of which a pocket hanging downwards for receiving goods is arranged, the pocket formed by at least one flexible material web that is planar when open and that is fastened at both ends to the trolley, forming a loop hanging downwards. The material web is releasably fastened by at least one end to the trolley. The method includes: advancing a closed pocket, opening the pocket by releasing the fastening of the at least one end of the material web to the trolley, emptying the goods from the opened pocket, closing the pocket by fastening the at least one end of the material web to the trolley, and transporting away the emptied and closed pocket.

High-capacity elevator conveying system
11708220 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A low-profile, high-capacity elevator conveying system that is operably able to reduce spatial requirements for the elevating system to not less than about one third (⅓) of the overall lift height, and preferably having a height to base ratio in a range of between 4:1 to 8:1. The present invention also relates to a high capacity elevator conveying system which can elevate both fine and coarse materials through a range of between 300 μm and 300 mm, while limiting belt side travel to 150 mm maximum, or +/−75 mm as required to prevent edge damage to the conveyor belts.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FEEDING BULK MATERIAL INTO A PRESSURIZED ENVIRONMENT

A system and method for feeding a high volume of low-bulk-density and pressure-sensitive feedstocks into a pressurized environment. The system includes a lock hopper filling system, one or more lock hoppers, a feed bin, and a feeder. The methods involve using such a system to feed bulk materials into a pressurized environment by feeding bulk material from a low pressure into the surge bin, filling the one or more lock hoppers from the surge bin, operating the lock hoppers, and discharging lock hoppers into feed bin, and discharging feed bin into the high-pressure zone using feeder.
