Tie plate dispenser and method therefore
Present embodiments relate to a tie plate dispenser which aligns tie plates for dispensing based on rail base rather than outer edges of tie plate. Thus tie plates are aligned and located in a differing manner than prior art systems. Further, the tie plate dispenser includes an opening over which a magnet is disposed to retain a tie plate over the opening. The tie plate over the opening may be selectively released by disengaging the tie plate from the magnet.
Conveyance constraint
A conveyance device can include a conveyance surface and a conveyance constraint. The conveyance surface can receive a container and advance the container along the conveyance pathway. The conveyance constraint can be positioned across the conveyance pathway and include an opening. The conveyance constraint can block containers having a width or height larger than the respective width or height of the opening.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY MOVING OBJECTS BETWEEN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
Embodiments provide for a conveying system to move multiple articles from one location to another. The conveying system may use a transport device to grasp each article from an initial location, rotate the articles away from the initial locations, move the articles linearly, and rotate the articles to destination locations. Rather than moving each article one-by-one, in the embodiments described herein, the conveying system can move multiple articles simultaneously to various locations where each location may contain a different process to perform on the article. Moving multiple articles simultaneously shortens the time required to process the articles.
Object stop for automated object conveying systems
An object redirection mechanism for a conveying system is provided. The object redirection mechanism is configured to redirect an object moved by the conveying system from a first direction to a second direction. The object redirection mechanism includes an arm tunnel positioned proximate an end of a conveyor configured for moving an object in the first direction. The arm tunnel includes an object stop having an object stopping portion defining at least a first side of the arm tunnel at least substantially parallel with the second direction and configured to engage an object moving in the first direction. The object stopping portion defines at least one finger aperture to enable at least one of the rotationally-retractable fingers to, when aligned with the at least one finger aperture, rotate between a retracted configuration and an extended configuration. A corresponding object conveying system and method of assembling an object stop are provided.

APPARATUS FOR FEEDING BARS
An apparatus for feeding bars to a machine tool includes a rotary drum provided with a plurality of guide units distributed circumferentially and extending parallel to a longitudinal axis, each guide unit having two parts that are reciprocally movable and openable, by a respective lever to receive a respective bar to be advanced to the machine tool. An actuator element is provided and configured to act directly on a specific lever to open the corresponding guide unit. A support assembly is provided for receiving and supporting a plurality of bars in a position adjacent to the drum. A loading unit includes a lifting device that is movable from a lower position to an upper position to pick up one or more bars from the support assembly and lift the bars to the upper position. The loading unit further includes a selector unit for selecting a single bar at a time when the lifting device is in the upper position to transfer the bar to a respective guide unit.
