Device for storing standardized storage goods in a high-bay warehouse

The disclosure relates to a device and a method for storing standardized storage goods in a high-bay warehouse and to the transfer thereof.

UNLOADING ARRANGEMENT AND UNLOADING STATION, AS WELL AS METHOD OF UNLOADING AN ITEM FROM A STORAGE CONTAINER

An automatic storage and retrieval system includes: a delivery vehicle; a storage container carried by the delivery vehicle; and an unloading station for unloading an item from the storage container while it is being carried by the delivery vehicle. The unloading station includes: an unloading device; and a destination conveyor configured to convey the item to a target destination, wherein the unloading device is configured to move the item through a side opening of the storage container to the destination conveyor.

Storage grid with container accessing station with locking device to lock remotely operated vehicle

An automated storage and retrieval system includes a grid-based rail structure and a plurality of remotely operated vehicles arranged to operate on the grid-based rail structure. The automated storage and retrieval system includes a locking device arranged in a zone of the grid-based rail structure where a human and/or a robotic operator is permitted to interact with the remotely operated vehicle or contents of a storage container that the remotely operated vehicle is carrying. The locking device is arranged to lock the remotely operated vehicle against accidental displacement prior to interaction with the human and/or robotic operator, and wherein the locking device being arranged to unlock the remotely operated vehicle once interaction with the human and/or robotic operator is no longer required.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOADING, TRANSPORTING, UNLOADING, AND SORTING SHIPPING CONTAINERS USING MAGNETIC LEVITATION
20230002174 · 2023-01-05 ·

Systems and methods for loading, transporting, unloading, and sorting electromagnetic shipping containers using magnetized levitation. The system picks up, rotates, levitates, and propels the electromagnetic shipping containers across a receiving and sorting port. The receiving and sorting port is used to receive and sort shipping containers. The receiving and sorting port includes a container crane for handling multiple shipping containers, simultaneously. The container crane has a spreader that picks up multiple electromagnetic shipping containers at once, including ten-wide set of containers. The electromagnetic shipping container has a first and second set of magnets that work to levitate and propel the containers along a magnetized rail. The magnets repel the force from the magnetized rail, thereby levitating the electromagnetic shipping container. A sortation hub rotates and groups containers according to delivery needs. A surplus yard holds shipping containers during the sorting process. A modular chassis can attach to the shipping containers.

System for transporting containers, particularly ISO containers, using heavy goods vehicles

A system for transporting containers using heavy goods vehicles having a separate operating region in which the heavy goods vehicles can be operated includes at least one first lane for at least one external heavy goods vehicle, and at least one second lane for at least one internal heavy goods vehicle are reserved in the separate operating region. The heavy goods vehicles can be operated together in a mixed traffic situation, and the first and second lanes are each guided through a transition region of a handling unit of a storage region and each arranged laterally in relation tothe storage region.

Method for controlling travel within a transfer zone for containers of transport vehicles in a terminal for containers, control system for same, and terminal comprising a control system of this kind

A method, system, and terminal are provided for controlling travel of transport vehicles within a transfer zone. The transfer zone connects an automatic region for automatically guided transport vehicles to a manual region for manually guided transport vehicles. The transport vehicles travelling through the transfer zone in order to deliver or pick up containers in the transfer zone are granted or refused authorization to enter the transfer zone in order to travel through the transfer zone. In the absence of granted authorization for entry of a manually guided transport vehicle into a transfer region of the transfer zone, an intervention is automatically implemented in a controller of the transport vehicle in such a way that at least full entry, but optionally even partial entry, to the transfer zone is prevented.

Container terminal

A system and method for operating a terminal facility handling containers may comprise: a sensor set sensing containers entering and/or exiting the facility for providing container identification data and location data to a relational database; and container handling equipment having a sensor set for providing container identification data and location data to the database when a container is grasped and/or released. Sensors may sense when the equipment grasps and/or releases a container for storing a record thereof in the database, and/or geo-tagged identification data and location data relating to carriers that are to pick up and/or to deliver a container is received and stored as records in the database. The relational database contains records representing the current location of each container and each container handling equipment substantially in real time and can estimate arrival time.
