METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR A TRANSFER TAPE APPLIED TO FORM A RAISED PROFILE
Methods and apparatus to form elevated profiles in mounted turn-up transfer tapes for paper processing. In some embodiments, the transfer tape may be a combination of a tape substrate coated on one side with a web grabbing adhesive and on the other side with a mounting adhesive and an affixed cord or cordlike feature, and a release liner having a release liner substrate fully coated on a first side with a release layer and zone-coated on a second side with a release layer. In some embodiments an elevated profile, similar to that resulting from the incorporated cord or cordlike feature, may be formed during the application of the transfer tape with specialized apparatus.
Tape Attachment Apparatus
A tape attachment apparatus includes a tape supply unit configured to provide a tape to be attached to a tip of an electrode roll, a tape attachment unit configured to attach the tape provided by the tape supply unit to the electrode roll, and a frame configured to allow the tape attachment unit to be mounted to the frame. A tape attachment process to prevent unwinding of the electrode roll is automatically performed.
STICKY NAPKIN AND TOWEL ROLL
A sticky napkin is disclosed. The sticky napkin includes a first surface and an opposing second surface, a first fold line extending from the first side to the second side, a second fold line extending from the first side to the second side, a first adhesive strip overlaying the second surface of the first end section panel and extending in a direction from the first side to the second side, and a second adhesive strip overlaying the second surface of the second end section panel and extending in a direction from the first side to the second side.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING A STRAND OF CUSHIONING MATERIAL, AND CUSHIONING MATERIAL COIL
An apparatus for processing a strand of dunnage material, such as a coil of dunnage material, may include a winding device configured to wind the strand of dunnage material around a winding center, and an adhesive tape dispenser aligned with the winding device. The adhesive tape dispenser may be configured such that the adhesive tape dispensed by the dispenser is applied to an outer end layer of the strand of dunnage material when the outer end layer is wound around the winding center. The dunnage material may be produced by a dunnage forming machine from a web-shaped starting material, such as a roll or a leporello stack, for example of paper.
Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material
Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material are disclosed herein. A system for processing material includes a winding station and a taping station. The winding station includes a winder to wrap material around a mandrel to produce one or more rolls of material. The taping station is arranged downstream of the winding station to receive the one or more rolls of material therefrom and apply tape to the one or more rolls of material.

Method to remove an adhesive label from a bobbin and apparatus to detach an adhesive label from an end portion of a coiled sheet in a bobbin
The present invention relates to a method to remove an adhesive label (22) from a bobbin (28), the bobbin including an end portion (24) and an outer surface (25), the method including: providing a bobbin of a coiled sheet closed by an adhesive label positioned on top of the end portion of the coiled sheet (26) to attach the same to the outer surface of the bobbin; locating the adhesive label; applying a sucking force to the location of the adhesive label so as to detach the adhesive label and the end portion of the coiled sheet from the bobbin; and cutting a part of the detached end portion including the adhesive label from the bobbin. The present invention also relates to an apparatus to detach an adhesive label from an end portion of a coiled sheet in a bobbin, the adhesive label being located between the end portion and an outer surface of the bobbin.
Wrapping materials for solid objects
Improved object wrapping materials exhibiting a number of beneficial properties to overcome prior deficiencies are provided. Such properties include the inclusion of a separation interface overlay that allows for greater rigidity at the leading and trailing edges of such wraps. Also, the inclusion of shear-reducing wrap material portions is described, as well as recoil reduction structures within the leading edge regions. Furthermore, core adhesive additions allow for greater resiliency to the base wrap material as it unwinds therefrom, reducing potential waste wrap products by permitting greater amounts of wrap materials in use. Other considerations include the ability, through proper configuration designs, to position a wrap separation indicator within a certain range of distances from the trailing edge, thereby providing greater reliability of wrap application device disengagement during wrap application. Such benefits are thus supplied individually and in tandem for improved versatility and utility of such wrap materials.
