Dunnage system with coiler, automated taping and ejecting apparatus and method
A dunnage conversion system includes a machine for converting a stock material into a strip of relatively lower-density dunnage, a coiling mechanism for winding the strip into a coil, a taping mechanism for automatically securing a trailing end of the strip to the coil, and a coil ejecting mechanism for automatically removing the coil from the coiling mechanism. The taping mechanism includes a guide surface between an outlet of the machine and the coiling mechanism to guide the strip to the coiling mechanism and to guide tape for engagement with a trailing end of the strip and to secure the trailing end of the strip to the coil. The coil ejecting mechanism includes a lever arm that pivots to push the completed coil off the coiling mechanism.
CARRIER-TAPE PROCESSING DEVICE AND CARRIER-TAPE PROCESSING METHOD
There are provided a carrier tape supply unit that supplies a carrier tape storing components, and a carrier tape processing unit that pulls out the carrier tape from the carrier tape supply unit, forms the carrier tape into a roll shape, and stores the carrier tape in a case. Further, the carrier tape processing unit includes a roll body creating unit that includes a shaft member holding a tip end part of the carrier tape, and creates a roll-shaped roll body by rotating the shaft member to wind the carrier tape around the shaft member, and a shaft member extracting unit that extracts the shaft member from the roll body created by the roll body creating unit.
Roll-Removal Device, Winding Device and Method for Transporting Away a Plurality of Rolls Which Have Been Wound to Completion
The invention describes a roll-removal device by means of which a plurality of rolls which have been wound to completion are transported away from a winding shaft having a displacement device for displacing the rolls relative to the winding shaft, in order to withdraw the rolls from the winding shaft, having a receiving device for receiving the rolls, and having a transfer device for transferring the rolls from the displacement device to the receiving device, wherein the rolls can be rolled freely at least in certain regions, the rolls rolling about their rolling axes.
By means of this device for changing the position of the rolls axes, the roll axes of two adjacent rolls can be moved to an angle of less than 180 degrees in relation to one another.
RECEPTION SLEEVE
A reception sleeve that may be mounted on a mandrel of a packaging machine for winding up a film used in the packaging process on the reception sleeve. The reception sleeve may include a plurality of hinges. Each hinge may have a hinge axis, wherein each hinge axis may be oriented in a direction parallel to a central axis of the reception sleeve. The reception sleeve may be mounted on a reception mandrel of the packaging machine, preferably for winding a residual film grid remaining after sealing trays in the packaging machine. The mandrel may include a mechanism for selectively tensioning the reception sleeve thereon to tension the reception sleeve to allow the mandrel to transfer a winding torque to the reception sleeve, and to reduce the tension so the reception sleeve can easily be removed from the mandrel.
Method of making a coreless retail, paper roll
A paper rewinding machine includes a rewinding assembly operable to produce coreless retail paper rolls.
ROLL-UP DEVICE AND WRAPPING SYSTEM
A wrapping or roll-up device including a base, one or more connectors, an arm, and a handle. In embodiments, one or more connectors are connected to the base and are configured to connect the device to a wall or support structure, and/or the arm includes an aperture. In embodiments, a handle includes an extended portion and a grip portion, and at least a portion of the extended portion is configured to extend through the aperture. Further, with embodiments, the extended portion includes a slot disposed about an end of the extended portion. Embodiments may include a tensioner. Methods for wrapping or rolling up an article such as a wrap are also disclosed.
TAPE TAKE-UP ROLLER
The present invention relates in general to spool assemblies, and more specifically, to a tape take-up roller for collecting carrier strips, or tape, that attach a chain of bags for packaging food in a food production facility. A purpose of the invention is to provide an improved spool assembly that conveniently and safely allows an operator to collect and remove tape therefrom. In an exemplary embodiment, the spool assembly may comprise a series of cantilevered, elongated prongs having a closed first end secured to a base and an opposite open second end. The base may be rotatably coupled to a bearing housing that permits the base and series of prongs to rotate together around a longitudinal axis for collecting tape around the series of prongs. The spool assembly permits tape to be safely removed from the series of prongs by sliding the tape off the open second end without requiring the use of cutting tools.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HDSS ROLL PACKAGING
A method of forming a gum roll is provided. The method includes providing a strip stock having a first end, a first surface, and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first end of the strip stock is coupled to a core fixture so the first surface interfaces with the core fixture. The strip stock is rotated to wind the strip stock onto the core fixture such that the first surface interfaces with the second surface to form the gum roll. The method further includes cutting the strip stock to form the second end when the gum roll is wound to an outer roll diameter, the outer roll diameter being greater than a diameter of the core fixture.
