The present disclosure concerns a web material feed assembly for a web material dispenser comprising a housing, the web material feed assembly comprising first and second rollers rotatable relative to the housing of the dispenser about first and second parallel axes. The first roller is provided with friction rings forming a nip between the first and second rollers for feeding the web material therethrough, at least one of the friction rings comprising a recessed surface forming an anti-wrinkling space between the first and second rollers. The disclosure also concerns a web material dispenser with such a web material feed assembly and a method for preventing wrinkles in a web material dispensed by a web material dispenser with such a web material feed assembly.

A print device comprises a media pickup assembly to feed print media, from a print media stack of an input tray, into a media loading path for printing. The media pickup assembly (106) includes a pickup roller (110) mounted on a rotatable shaft (108) and may include an outer surface (112) to be in contact with the print medium and a slot (114) comprising lateral walls (404) extending from the outer surface towards a central longitudinal axis of the pickup roller. Each lateral wall has an edge meeting the outer surface (112). The edge (408) creates a surface contact between the print media and the pickup roller, to allow the pickup roller (110) to push the print media into the media loading path. A distance between the edge (408) of one lateral wall (404-1) and the edge of another lateral wall (404-2) is in a range of about 2 mm to 3 mm. The distance defines a width of the slot (114).

A rotary feeding member includes a plurality of first regions each including a plurality of first protruding portions and a plurality of first recessed portions, and a plurality of second regions each including a plurality of second protruding portions and a plurality of second recessed portions. The plurality of first regions and plurality of second regions are alternately arranged in a rotating direction of the rotary feeding member, and a ratio of a second depth of the second recessed portions to a first depth of the first recessed portions is 0.4 or greater and 0.8 or less.

ROTARY FEEDING MEMBER, SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A rotary feeding member for feeding a sheet is provided with a plurality of protruding portions, a plurality of first recessed portions and a plurality of second recessed portions on a cross-section perpendicular to a width direction of the rotary feeding member. The plurality of protruding portions constituting an outer circumferential surface of the rotary feeding member to be in contact with the sheet. Each of the plurality of first recessed portions and the plurality of second recessed portions is provided between any adjacent two of the plurality of protruding portions in the rotating direction. The plurality of first recessed portions are recessed to a first depth with respect to the outer circumferential surface, and the plurality of second recessed portions are recessed to a second depth smaller than the first depth with respect to the outer circumferential surface.
Sheet conveying apparatus and image forming apparatus
A sheet conveying apparatus includes first and second roller members fixed to a rotatable shaft, a first follower roller that cooperates with the first roller member to form a conveying nip, and a second follower roller that cooperates with the second roller member to form a conveying nip. The first and second roller members have outer periphery cut-away parts and the first and second follower rollers are moveably supported and can be biased to home positions. If the first roller member cut-away part faces the first follower roller, the first follower roller is biased to move toward a home position while the nip of the second roller member nips and conveys a sheet. If the second roller member cut-away part faces the second follower roller, the second follower roller is biased to move toward a home position while the nip of the first roller member nips and conveys a sheet.

A feeding roller for a document conveying apparatus includes a plurality of groove portions arranged with a regular interval in a width direction of the feeding roller on a surface of the feeding roller, and a projection portion provided between each pair of adjacent groove portions to scrape off paper particles on the external peripheral. The projection portion has a regular pattern extending in the width direction of the feeding roller.

A sheet conveying apparatus includes first and second roller members fixed to a rotatable shaft, a first follower roller that cooperates with the first roller member to form a conveying nip, and a second follower roller that cooperates with the second roller member to form a conveying nip. The first and second roller members have outer periphery cut-away parts and the first and second follower rollers are moveably supported and can be biased to home positions. If the first roller member cut-away part faces the first follower roller, the first follower roller is biased to move toward a home position while the nip of the second roller member nips and conveys a sheet. Medium transport apparatus
A medium transport apparatus includes a transport section configured to support a medium and transport the medium in a transport direction, and a wrinkle reducing section configured to come into contact with the medium to reduce the formation of wrinkles in the medium. The wrinkle reducing section can change surfaces to come into contact with the medium. The medium transport apparatus having such a structure enables to reduce the formation of wrinkles in the medium.
