An image forming apparatus can create various output products using a transparent sheet as intended by a user.

A paper sheet detection device includes: an optical sensor that includes a light-emitting portion that emits light, and a light-receiving portion that receives the emitted light; a storage portion that stores a first threshold value used for determining whether or not a paper sheet is present in a path of the emitted light, a target light-receiving level set as a target value of a level of the light received by the light-receiving portion in a state where the paper sheet is not present, and a second threshold value that is set to a value that is greater than the first threshold value and less than the target light-receiving level; an estimating portion that determines whether the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion is equal to or greater than the first threshold value and less than the second threshold value, and that estimates whether or not the paper sheet is present; and a light amount adjusting portion that adjusts an amount of the light emitted by the light-emitting portion so that the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion becomes the target light-receiving level in the state where the paper sheet is not present when the estimating portion estimates that the paper sheet is not present after the estimating portion determines that the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion is equal to or greater than the first threshold value and less than the second threshold value.

Provided is a glass roll (1), including: a winding core (2); a film body (F), which is taken up into a roll shape by the winding core (2), and includes a glass film (3) and a scattering prevention film (7) having a smaller width than the glass film (3); and flanges (8) which are mounted to the winding core (2), and which are arranged on both sides of the film body (F) in a width direction. The film body (F) includes a detachable displacement prevention film (6) on a termination end portion side of the glass film (3) in a take-up direction. The displacement prevention film (6) includes a wide portion (6a) having a lager width than the glass film (3).

A paper sheet detection device includes: an optical sensor that includes a light-emitting portion that emits light, and a light-receiving portion that receives the emitted light; a storage portion that stores a first threshold value used for determining whether or not a paper sheet is present in a path of the emitted light, a target light-receiving level set as a target value of a level of the light received by the light-receiving portion in a state where the paper sheet is not present, and a second threshold value that is set to a value that is greater than the first threshold value and less than the target light-receiving level; an estimating portion that determines whether the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion is equal to or greater than the first threshold value and less than the second threshold value, and that estimates whether or not the paper sheet is present; and a light amount adjusting portion that adjusts an amount of the light emitted by the light-emitting portion so that the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion becomes the target light-receiving level in the state where the paper sheet is not present when the estimating portion estimates that the paper sheet is not present after the estimating portion determines that the level of the light received by the light-receiving portion is equal to or greater than the first threshold value and less than the second threshold value.

A paper sheet handling device (a banknote handling device) includes a paper sheet detection device (a tracking sensor) configured to detect a paper sheet, and a handling unit performing handling related to the paper sheet based on the time when the paper sheet detection device detects an end of the paper sheet. The paper sheet detection device includes a pair of rolling bodies (rollers) facing each other, disposed on a transport path transporting the paper sheet, and configured so that the paper sheet passes therebetween, and a detection unit detecting displacement of the rolling bodies when the paper sheet passes between the pair of rolling bodies to detect the paper sheet.

A post-processing apparatus connectable to an image forming apparatus which performs a post-processing on a sheet of a first type in a first post-processing mode, and performs the post-processing on a sheet of a second type having a light transmittance higher than the first type in a second post-processing mode, wherein, in a case where a job for performing the post-processing on a sheet of a third type is executed, the post-processing apparatus determines whether the sheet of the third type is detectable by the sheet detecting unit, operates in the first post-processing mode when the sheet of the third type is determined to be detectable by the sheet detecting unit, and operates in the second post-processing mode when the sheet of the third type is determined to be undetectable by the sheet detecting unit.

A tape feeder (part feeding device) includes a main body including a transporting passage for guiding a part feeding tape to a part removing position, a conveyor for positioning a storage of the part feeding tape which is inserted to the transporting passage to the part removing position, and a part detector for detecting the part stored in the storage in the transporting passage at the upstream side of the part removing position. The transporting passage includes a travelling surface for supporting the part feeding tape from underneath, a pair of side guides for guiding two side surfaces of the part feeding tape, and a squeezed portion in which a distance between the pair of side guides is gradually reduced from the upstream side of the part detector toward a part detecting position of the part detector.

A post-processing apparatus connectable to an image forming apparatus which performs a post-processing on a sheet of a first type in a first post-processing mode, and performs the post-processing on a sheet of a second type having a light transmittance higher than the first type in a second post-processing mode, wherein, in a case where a job for performing the post-processing on a sheet of a third type is executed, the post-processing apparatus determines whether the sheet of the third type is detectable by the sheet detecting unit, operates in the first post-processing mode when the sheet of the third type is determined to be detectable by the sheet detecting unit, and operates in the second post-processing mode when the sheet of the third type is determined to be undetectable by the sheet detecting unit.
