A stacking device for generating decks (10) of sheet elements (12) comprises a transport device with an upper side onto which sheet elements (12) are arranged on separate sheet sections (50). Each sheet section (50) is adapted to transport at least one sheet element (12). The upper side has a height offset between adjacent sheet sections (50). A displacement element shifts sheet elements (12) of one sheet section (50) onto an adjacent sheet section (50) in order to produce the deck (10) of sheet elements (12).

A media processing device includes: a hopper for supporting a stack of media units (e.g. cards), the hopper including (i) a gate wall configured to abut leading edges of the media units and (ii) an outlet defined at an end of the gate wall; a pick roller at the outlet for engaging an outer one of the media units in the stack and dispensing the outer media unit from the hopper to a media processing path; the gate wall including a flexible gate at the outlet, the flexible gate configured to deflect toward the media processing path responsive to the outer media unit being driven into the flexible gate by the pick roller, wherein the outer media unit deflects when passing by the flexible gate, permitting the outer media unit to be dispensed from the hopper.

In order to increase a stored amount of cards in a card handling apparatus that discharges cards stored in the card cassettes one by one, the card handling apparatus is provided with two card cassettes. A first card cassette and a second card cassette are arranged along a conveying path for the card, and when all cards stored in the first card cassette is discharged, the card is discharged from the second card cassette. The first card cassette has a gate for allowing the card discharged from the second card cassette to enter on a back surface. The card discharged from the second card cassette enters the first card cassette from the gate, passing the inside and being discharged from a discharge port of the first card cassette.

A method for generating decks of sheet elements (18) comprises the steps of positioning a set of numerous sheet elements (18) onto a transport surface of a transport device (30) to partly overlap in transport direction (T). The set of overlapping sheet elements (18) is moved against a stop member (44). The stop member (44) is moved in the transport direction (T) with a lower velocity than a velocity of the transport surface. By maintaining displacement of sheet elements (18) which are not yet contacting stop member (44) all sheet elements are shifted towards stop member (44) to define a deck. The method is carried out by a corresponding device.

An adjustable leveling assembly for engaging a stack of a plurality of sheets in a feeder tray of a printing device, including a first wedging element slidably arranged on the feeder tray and operatively arranged to engage the stack, wherein when the first wedging element is disengaged with the stack, a top sheet of the plurality of sheets is non-parallel to the feeder tray, and when the first wedging element is engaged with the stack, the top sheet is substantially parallel to the feeder tray.

A device and method for treating several surfaces of objects, including treatment equipment for carrying out a treatment on a surface of an object; a shuttle having at least two locations configured to receive objects, which is mounted to as to be able to move between two positions, passing through intermediate positions in which the shuttle presents one surface of the objects to the treatment equipment; a first piece of handling equipment capable of placing an object in a first location when the shuttle is in its first position; a second piece of handling equipment configured to remove one object from the second location; and third piece of handling equipment configured to remove the object from the first location and turning it before placing the object in the second location.

The present application relates to a device for conveying flat pieces. The device comprises a belt with a transport surface, wherein the belt is movable along a transport axis; a support element with a support surface for supporting the belt; and a vacuum supply for providing vacuum suction; wherein a suction distributing structure at the support surface of the support element is in fluid connection with the vacuum supply; and wherein the suction distributing structure has a belt suction region and a card suction region, wherein the belt suction region is configured to provide suction to the belt and the card suction region is configured to provide suction to flat pieces on the transport surface of the belt. A post-processing apparatus that performs post-processing on paper in which an image is formed, the apparatus including: a paper cutter that cuts the paper in which the image is formed; a reader that reads the paper cut by the paper cutter; and a hardware processor that determines whether a cutting position of the paper cut by the paper cutter is good or not based on a read result read by the reader, wherein the hardware processor determines whether the cutting position of the paper in which partial cutting is performed is good or not, the partial cutting being cutting a portion of the paper by the paper cutter.

The present invention discloses a card-feeding device and a badge and card printer. The card-feeding device comprises: a base on which cards are stacked, a card outlet being provided at one end of the base; a rotary card-feeding mechanism which is located below the bottommost card and provided with a rotary swing arm and a push rod provided on the rotary swing arm, the push rod pushing the bottommost card towards the card outlet as the swing arm rotates; and a roller card-feeding mechanism which is installed between the rotary card-feeding mechanism and the card outlet and provided with a roller with an outer edge protruding from the top surface of the base, the bottommost card being transported to the card outlet when the roller rotates.
