A sheet folding device includes a sheet conveyance path, a first folding conveyance path, a first folding roller pair, a first folding guide, and a conveyance roller. The first folding roller pair is composed of a first roller and a second roller forming a first folding nip by being brought into pressure contact with an upstream side of the first roller. The first folding guide is movable between a folding position at which it approaches the first folding nip, guiding a to-be-folded part of a sheet to the first folding nip, and a retracted position at which it is away from the first folding nip. The conveyance roller forms, together with the second roller, a first assist roller pair that conveys the sheet along the sheet conveyance path. The first folding guide has a pivot fulcrum on a downstream side relative to the first folding nip in the conveyance direction.

A printer, which is an example of a liquid ejecting apparatus, includes a movable body including a head for ejecting a liquid or a cap performing maintenance of the head. Further, the printer includes a pair of rack and pinion mechanisms including a rack and a drive gear to move the movable body in a first direction in which the rack extends; and a switching mechanism provided for each of the rack and pinion mechanisms and switching presence and absence of meshing between the rack and the drive gear when the movable body is at an exchange position.

A device for further processing web- or sheet-type stock comprises a further-processing section, in which stock that is supplied on the input side can be processed into printed products. The further-processing section comprises, in the guide path of a processing line through which the stock has run, at least one first combining device relative to the stock path, which can combine one- or multi-layer stock sections to a bundle; a second combining device which can combine the bundles formed by the first combining device to a bundle stack downstream of the first combining device; and a transverse folding device which is arranged functionally downstream of the second combining device and which transversely forms the bundles or bundle stacks relative to the conveying device on the input side when they exit the second combining device. A device for joining several layers is placed in the guide path, such that it can join several or all of the stock sections combined in the first combining device into a bundle, before they are received by the second combining device and is associated with, are arranged downstream of the first combining device. During production of the products, a combined bundle is stapled before it is combined with one or more other bundles and is then transversely folded. In addition, a longitudinal cutting device is provided in the guide path downstream of the transverse folding device.
Sheet folding apparatus
In a sheet folding apparatus for folding a sheet, a sheet is pushed at a predetermined position thereof by a push member while the sheet is being conveyed by a conveyance roller. The predetermined position of the sheet is guided to the nip section of a folding roller pair. Then, the sheet is nipped at the predetermined position thereof and folded by the folding roller pair.
AN INTERFOLDING MACHINE WITH SEPARATION FINGERS ADJACENT TO RESPECTIVE INTERFOLDING ROLLERS
The interfolding machine includes a first interfolding roller rotating around a first rotation axis and a second interfolding roller rotating around a second rotation axis parallel to the first rotation axis; wherein the first interfolding roller and the second interfolding roller form an interfolding nip therebetween. The interfolding machine further includes a first set of separation fingers associated with the first interfolding roller and arranged for reciprocatingly pivoting around a first pivoting axis parallel to the first rotation axis. The reciprocating pivoting movement of the first set of separation fingers is controlled by a first actuation mechanism including a first desmodromic cam. The interfolding machine also includes a second set of separation fingers associated with the second interfolding roller and arranged for reciprocatingly pivoting around a second pivoting axis parallel to the second rotation axis. The reciprocating pivoting movement of the second set of separation fingers is controlled by a second actuation mechanism including a second desmodromic.
SHEET FOLDING APPARATUS
In a sheet folding apparatus for folding a sheet, a sheet is pushed at a predetermined position thereof by a push member while the sheet is being conveyed by a conveyance roller. The predetermined position of the sheet is guided to the nip section of a folding roller pair. Then, the sheet is nipped at the predetermined position thereof and folded by the folding roller pair.
Sheet processing apparatus
A sheet processing apparatus comprising: a scoring unit which scores a sheet; a folding unit which folds a sheet bundle including a plurality of sheets; a pressing unit which presses a folded part of the sheet bundle folded by the folding unit; and a controller which determines, based on information on the sheet bundle, whether the scoring unit scores the sheet included in the sheet bundle to be folded and whether the pressing unit presses the folded part of the sheet bundle.

Disclosed is a sheet processing apparatus which includes: a supporting portion in which a sheet which has been conveyed is stacked; a pushing member configured to push the sheet with an abutting portion of the pushing member in order to fold the sheet supported on the supporting portion; and a setting portion configured to set a pushing position at which the pushing member pushes the sheet with a score to a position at which the sheet is to be folded at the score, wherein a center of the abutting portion does not coincides with a center of the score of the sheet.

A machine configured to produce stacks of folded pop-up wipes includes a holder, a first tension unit, a folding unit, and a control unit. The folding unit includes two or more folding rollers each including a hub including grippers to grip and release the material and infeed plates to feed the tissue to respective grippers of the other roller. Positions of the infeed plates are adjustable in relation to positions of the grippers Distances between the grippers and the infeed plates adapt a width of the produced stacks of wipes. The control unit is communicatively coupled to the first tension unit and the folding unit and includes a processor, and a memory. The memory contains instructions executable by the processor. The material is threaded along a path through the machine via the first tension unit and the folding unit. Executing the instructions causes the control unit to control the machine.
