Robotic spooler
A robotic spooler may be provided. First, a first take-up section of a Capture, Cut, and Transfer (CCT) device may receive a longitudinally continuous material. Then, the CCT device may cause the longitudinally continuous material to be captured by a first spool adjacent to the CCT device, cause the longitudinally continuous material to be taken up onto the first spool, and to provide a first cut to the longitudinally continuous material. Next, the CCT device may transfer the longitudinally continuous material from the first take-up section of the CCT device to a second take-up section of the CCT device. Then the CCT device may cause the longitudinally continuous material to be captured by a second spool adjacent to the CCT device, cause the longitudinally continuous material be taken up onto the second spool, and to provide a second cut to the longitudinally continuous material.
Apparatus and method for spooling wire
A reel apparatus comprising a pipe; an outer flange assembly comprising two outer support walls connected to the pipe and wherein each outer support wall comprises an inner wall and an outer wall; an inner flange assembly comprising two inner support walls, wherein the inner flange assembly is rotated relative to the outer flange assembly and the pipe and wherein each inner support wall comprises an inner wall and an outer wall; and a motor assembly connected to the inner flange assembly and outer flange assembly, wherein the motor assembly is physically connect to the outer flange assembly and wherein the motor assembly is rotationally connected to the inner flange assembly.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WINDING A CABLE
A cable winding apparatus mounted on an arm of an excavator. The cable winding apparatus comprises a housing, a hydraulic motor disposed within the housing where a portion of the hydraulic motor extends through the second wall of the housing, a drive shaft extending through the housing that is connected to the motor, and a collapsible power reel. The collapsible power reel comprises a plurality of segments movably coupled to the collapsible power reel and extending radially from the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments can engage a cable and enable the cable to be wound around the collapsible power reel as the hydraulic motor rotates the collapsible power reel. The plurality of segments are configured to collapse in an axial direction, thereby enabling the wound cable to be easily removed from the apparatus.

Method for winding an elastic yarn package
A method is provided for winding an elastic yarn into a cylindrical substantially straight-ended yarn package. The method includes feeding an elastic or elastomeric yarn at a substantially constant speed to a tube core to form the yarn package. The yarn package is rotated such that the yarn package with a substantially constant surface speed. The yarn is wound to form layers of helical coils, while providing a helix angle variation of greater than zero up to +/80%.
