Systems and methods for spooling and unspooling linear material
Apparatus and methods are disclosed related to spooling and unspooling linear material. Such apparatus and methods can assist the user in deploying and/or retracting linear material.
Line Retraction Device having a Damper Assembly
A line retraction device includes a rotatable drum having a line associated therewith, with the line including a first end directly or indirectly attached to the drum and a second end opposite the first end, and at least one retraction member biasing the drum in a first rotational direction of the drum opposite a second rotational direction of the drum, where the drum is configured to: (i) retract the line when the drum moves in the first rotational direction; and (ii) payout the line when the drum moves in the second rotational direction. The device further including a damper assembly configured to provide rotational resistance to the drum in: (i) the first rotational direction of the drum as the line is being retracted; and (ii) the second rotational direction as the line is being paid out.
Retractable leash device and method therefor
A retractable leash device for animal control is disclosed, having a multitude of settable maximum leash line extensions providing leash line retraction at each set extension length. The device includes a leash line connectable to an animal, a housing having an axle and an outlet aperture, a reel having a hub and mounted on the axle, a reel biasing spring to retract the leash line, a maximum extension brake having an arresting member and a brake control. The leash line is wound on the reel and exits the housing through the aperture. The arresting member crosses the leash line thereinbetween the hub and the aperture. Upon engagement of the brake therewith the reel and extension of the leash line, an eventual interaction of the arresting member therewith the leash line prevents further extension of the leash line. The brake control engages and disengages the brake with respect to the reel.
Automatic diving tending system
The automatic diving tending system (ADTS) includes a buoyant sealed torsional apparatus having a plate with a perimeter seal to which is affixed a cover with a perimeter flange forming a dry buoyant cavity. On the plate is mounted a bridge supporting a drive shaft, a locking mechanism, a constant torque spring motor, and an overdrive transmission linkage. A tether spool apparatus is mounted on the exterior bottom side of the plate. It includes a frame with a guide, a spool, and coaxial connecting structure that connects to the drive shaft. A line wound on the spool that is pulled off tightens the spring motor, enabling the full length of the line to be rewound back onto the spool and to be stopped at any time by a diver.
Cable reel
A cable reel is provided, in particular for a pipe inspection system, the cable reel having a frame and a cable receptacle. The cable receptacle is rotatably arranged on the frame, it being possible to wind a cable onto the cable receptacle and unwind it from the cable receptacle. The cable receptacle has an inner cage and an outer cage, with the diameter of the inner cage being smaller than the diameter of the outer cage. The inner cage is arranged coaxially with respect to the outer cage and is inside the outer cage. It is possible to rotate the inner cage and the outer cage independently of one another, and the inner cage is receives a first cable portion of the cable and the outer cage receives a second cable portion of the cable.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SPOOLING AND UNSPOOLING LINEAR MATERIAL
Apparatus and methods are disclosed related to spooling and unspooling linear material. Such apparatus and methods can assist the user in deploying and/or retracting linear material.
Weapon restraint system
A wearable weapon restraint system is provided. The system includes a cable having a proximal end and a distal end, a retractable cable reel configured to contain the cable and allow the cable to extend and/or retract relative to the retractable cable reel, and a conduit having a passageway extending along at least a portion of the conduit. The cable can be positioned such that at least a portion of the cable passes through the passageway of the conduit. The distal end of the cable can be coupled to a fastening device.
Kabeltrommel
