The control unit is configured to: receive the image data from the at least one imaging device, detect a user approaching the gate device based on the received image data, obtain destination floor information including at least two destination floors, control the at least one indication device to generate a first visual indication including the at least two destination floors, and detect a destination floor selected by the user from among the at least two destination floors based on sensor data received from the at least one sensor device. An elevator system includes an access control system and to a method for controlling an access control system is disclosed.

Elevator operation management system and elevator operation management method

To make it possible to comprehensively predict the movement of people by associating an elevator control system in a facility such as a building and an external system other than this system with each other and thereby provide a new service that has not existed before. There is provided an elevator operation management system for controlling and managing multiple elevator devices in a facility, the system including: a reception unit that acquires information on the number of users to use the elevator devices and elevator car destination information; a learning unit that stores and learns, as past experience data, the information on the number of users and the elevator car destination information acquired from the reception unit; a per-floor number-of-people estimation unit that estimates the number of users getting off at each elevator hall floor using storage information of the learning unit; and a request information output unit that outputs the number of people getting off thus estimated in the facility to a system other than the elevator operation management system.

End-to-end cognitive elevator dispatching system

A method and system for controlling elevator dispatch is provided. User data, including user behavior, is collected from a number of users over a specified time period. Elevator use data for a number of elevators in a building is also collected over the specified time period. Applying the user data and elevator use data, an elevator dispatch model is constructed that predicts future elevator use according to predicted user needs. An elevator control system dispatches the elevators according to the dispatch model. The elevator dispatch model is refined according to feedback data collected from users over a subsequent time period.

Destination dispatch sectoring

A method of operating a building elevator system within a building having a plurality of floors including: controlling a building elevator system comprising a first elevator system having a first elevator car and a second elevator system having a second elevator car; determining one or more sectors for the plurality of floors in response to at least one of a time of day, manual input, a density of the down peak traffic, and whether there is simultaneous up peak or inter-floor traffic, the one or more sectors comprising a first sector having a first plurality of floors and a second sector having a second plurality of floors; assigning the first elevator car to the first sector; and assigning the second elevator car to the second sector.

GENERATION OF CONTROL SIGNALS

A method generates, by a control system, mutually synchronized control signals to an elevator system residing in a building and to at least one mobile robot operating in the building. The method includes: receiving a service request from an external system; detecting that an accomplishment of a requested service requires a service from both the elevator system and the at least one mobile robot; generating a first control signal to the elevator system and a second control signal to the at least mobile robot, the control signals causing the elevator system and the at least one mobile robot to operate in a synchronized manner to accomplish a service. The invention also relates to a control system and a computer program product.

METHOD AND AN APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING ELEVATOR SYSTEM

Vehicle parking information is used to control an elevator system. The vehicle parking information indicates that at least one parking space is occupied, and one or more elements of the elevator system may be controlled based on the vehicle parking information. An apparatus, a method and a computer program are provided.

Crowd sensing for elevator systems

An aspect includes capturing crowd data associated with a lobby area of an elevator system. A dispatching schedule of one or more elevator cars of the elevator system is adjusted based on the crowd data. A notification of the adjustment to the dispatching schedule is output.

USAGE AND CONTEXTUAL-BASED MANAGEMENT OF ELEVATOR OPERATIONS

Processes, apparatuses, and systems associated with usage and contextual-based elevator operations management are disclosed herein. The operations management system may have the capability to learn and to constantly adapt to usage patterns on a temporal basis through continuous monitoring of elevator journeys. In embodiments, an elevator journey may include a start and termination floor for an individual. This data may be used to predict patterns of usage and maybe used, for example, to optimize the number of elevators operational at any time, determine the optimal parking position of each elevator, and/or determine an efficient allocation of elevators to groups or related floors. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Method and system for scheduling elevator cars in a group elevator system with uncertain information about arrivals of future passengers

A method schedules elevator cars in a group elevator system in a building by first generating a set of probability distributions for arrivals of future passengers at any floor of the building, wherein the set of probability distributions are characterized by probabilistic variables that specify arrival information of the future passengers, wherein the arrival information includes a probability of service requests by the future passengers and a probability of possible times of the service requests. A schedule for the elevator cars is based on the set of probabilistic distribution. Then, the schedule is provided to a controller of the group elevator system to move the elevator cars according to the schedule.

Elevator analytics facilitating passenger destination prediction and resource optimization

Systems, computer-implemented methods, and computer program products that can facilitate elevator analytics and/or elevator optimization components are provided. According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a memory that stores computer executable components and a processor that executes the computer executable components stored in the memory. The computer executable components can comprise a prediction component that can predict a current destination of an elevator passenger based on historical elevator usage data of the elevator passenger. The computer executable components can further comprise an assignment component that can assign the elevator passenger to an elevator based on the current destination.
