Polygon compensation coupling system for chain and sprocket driven systems
A polygon compensation coupling system (30; 40; 60) comprises a first rotatable element (31; 41; 61), a second rotatable element (32; 42; 62a, 62b), and at least one linkage coupling the first rotatable element (31; 41; 61) with the second rotatable element (32; 42; 62a, 62b). The linkage comprises at least one first coupling element (34a; 44a; 64a) pivotably coupled to the first rotatable element (31; 41; 61) and at least one second coupling element (34b; 44b; 64b) pivotably coupled to the second rotatable element (32; 42; 62b). The first and second coupling elements (34a, 34b; 44a, 44b; 64a, 64b) are pivotably coupled to each other at a hinge point, the hinge point is configured to move along a compensation curve varying the coupling between the first rotatable element (34a; 44a; 64a) and the second rotatable element (32; 42; 62b).

A passenger conveyor (10) comprises a plurality of treads (16) interconnected to form an endless tread band (17), the passenger conveyor (10) comprising a chain and sprocket drive system including at least two drive sprockets (24a, 24b), each drive sprocket (24a, 24b) drivingly coupled to a respective drive chain (20a, 20b), each drive sprocket (24a, 24b) having a predetermined number of drive sprocket teeth (38a, 38b) positioned at a predetermined drive sprocket teeth pitch (αa, αb) with respect to each other, wherein the drive sprockets (24a, 24b) are configured to rotate with the same angular velocity, but at a predetermined phase difference (β) with respect to each other.

Chain drive system with polygon compensation
A chain drive includes a chain configured to rotate in a closed loop forming a load track and a return track interconnected by first and second turnaround sections; a drive sprocket for driving the chain, the drive sprocket being located in the first turnaround section of the closed loop; and a polygon compensation system for compensating the polygon effect of the chain. At least one component of the polygon compensation system is located within at least one turnaround section.

The support belt (212) is arranged to provide support to the plurality of escalator steps (4) via the drive belt (10).

A method for mounting a conveyor chain for a pallet belt of a moving walkway, and a conveyor chain, includes providing elongated connecting elements for fastening pallets to the conveyor chain, coupling the connecting elements in one coupling process to one another and to chain links that are coupled to one another, such that the connecting elements are arranged one behind the other parallel to the extension direction of the conveyor chain, and each of the connecting elements is coupled at a first end to an associated first one of two-piece chain pins and coupled at a second end to an associated second one of the two-piece chain pins, wherein a connecting element spacing distance between the first and second two-piece chain pins is an integral multiple of the chain spacing distance.
