METHOD FOR TESTING A BRAKE OF A HOISTING MACHINE AND SYSTEM
A method for testing an elevator hoisting machine brake with a preselected test load TL includes confirming empty elevator car positioned at a test location s.sub.test; obtaining information of elevator balancing B; obtaining information of friction F.sub.r of the elevator at the test location s.sub.test; determining required assisting test torque T.sub.M of a hoisting machine motor based on said test load TL, balancing B and friction F.sub.r; opening one of the brakes while keeping rest of the brakes engaged in braking position, applying torque with the motor at most up to the required test torque T.sub.M, measuring movement of the elevator car, and if movement of the elevator car was detected, generating a signal indicating degraded condition of one or more hoisting machine brakes.
ELEVATOR SYSTEM EVALUATION DEVICE
An evaluation device for an elevator system includes a self-propelled drive unit including a motor secondary to travel along a motor primary in a hoistway, and at least one diagnostic sensor.
Method for testing a capacity of a drive rescue battery of a transportation system, software program, and testing arrangement
A method for testing a capacity of a drive rescue battery includes opening a first switching device and second switching device to disconnect a LCL filter from AC mains and form a test load for testing the capacity of the drive rescue battery while disconnecting one of the LCL filter capacitors associated with a third phase from the test load, the test load including a series connection from one of the downstream LCL filter inductors and the LCL filter capacitors associated with the first phase to one of the LCL filter capacitors and the downstream LCL filter inductors associated with the second phase; and determining at least one of a voltage or a current of the drive rescue battery resulting from the test load.
ELEVATOR AND ESCALATOR MONITORING ARRANGEMENT
A user interface shows status of devices of an elevator and escalator arrangement. The status is based on holistic measurement approach wherein measurements for one or more indicator values are made continuously and compared against reference values. The difference between the measured and reference values are shown in a user interface for indicating that status of individual components and the overall system.
VIBRATION MONITORING BEACON MODE DETECTION AND TRANSITION
According to an aspect, a method includes monitoring a plurality of vibration data by a vibration monitoring beacon and determining that the vibration monitoring beacon has been installed at a service location based on detecting an installation characteristic signature in the vibration data. The vibration monitoring beacon can transition into a learning mode based on determining that the vibration monitoring beacon has been installed at the service location. The method can also include monitoring for a learning mode termination event and transitioning the vibration monitoring beacon from the learning mode to a normal operation mode based on detecting the learning mode termination event.
Method for controlling an elevator
The method includes loading and/or unloading the car, determining whether the car doors are fully closed or not fully open, measuring a total actual axial mass FΣact hanging from the traction sheave, determining a stalling limit total minimum axial mass FΣmin, checking reopening of the car doors, whereby if the car doors are reopened, then return to beginning, else, continue, permitting starting of elevator, comparing the total actual axial mass with the stalling limit total minimum axial mass, whereby if the total actual axial mass is equal to or greater than the stalling limit total minimum axial mass, then permit normal run of the elevator car to the next landing, else, stop the elevator.
Method and monitoring device for monitoring an operation of an elevator door arrangement
An elevator door arrangement is monitored wherein the elevator door arrangement includes at least one door wing and an electric actuator for displacing the door wing in at least one of an opening direction and a closing direction during a door motion event. A method for performing the monitoring includes a learning phase and an application phase. During the learning phase, different types of door motion events are identified and for each type of event a reference motion event duration is determined. During the application phase, a door arrangement operation is observed such as to detect door motion events and the different types of door motion events are distinguished upon comparison of the reference motion event durations with actual motion event durations measured during the application phase. Using the method, door motion events in an elevator may be recognized and monitored in an automatic manner.
People flow estimation system and the failure processing method thereof
A human flow estimation system comprises: a sensor network comprising a plurality of sensors arranged in a to-be-estimated region for detecting the human flow; a model building module configured to build a human flow state model based on arrangement positions of the sensors, and build a sensor network model based on data of the sensors; and a human flow estimation module configured to estimate the human flow and provide a data weight of the estimated human flow based on the human flow state model and the sensor network model. The human flow estimation system further comprises a failure detection module configured to detect whether each sensor in the sensor network is abnormal, and the model building module is further configured to adjust the human flow state model and the sensor network model when an exception exists on the sensor.
Method for understanding and planning elevator use
An elevator management system includes an elevator system and a service provider controller. The elevator system is configured to control at least one elevator car and to transmit a status message indicating status data of the at least one elevator car. The service provider controller is configured to determine a current operating mode of the at least one elevator car based on the status message and to assign the at least one elevator car to a current status group among a plurality of different status groups based on the current operating mode.

A method for monitoring thresholds for performance attributes in an elevator system is provided. Aspects includes collecting, by a sensor affixed to an elevator car, sensor data associated with the elevator system wherein the sensor data comprises one or more performance attribute values for a set of performance attributes of the elevator system. Obtaining a threshold profile associated with the elevator system, wherein the threshold profile comprises thresholds for each performance attribute in the set of performance attributes of the elevator system. Comparing the one or more performance attribute values to corresponding thresholds for the set of performance attributes and transmitting an alert for any of the one or more performance attribute values exceeding the corresponding thresholds for the set of performance attributes.
