An elevator system (2) comprising a hoistway (4), an elevator car (6) and a counterweight (8) arranged to move within the hoistway (4). The system (2) further includes a first counterweight guide rail and a second counterweight guide rail arranged to guide the counterweight within the hoistway (4) and a guide rail bracket (32) which connects the first and second counterweight guide rails together. An elevator machine (10) is arranged to drive a tension member (14), which couples the elevator car (6) and counterweight together (8), to move the elevator car (6) within the hoistway (4). The system (2) further includes a friction reducing element (36) arranged on the guide rail bracket (32) such that if the tension member (14) moves towards the guide rail bracket (32) during operation of the elevator system (2), the tension member (14) contacts the friction reducing element (36).

METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING ELEVATOR AND ELEVATOR

The invention relates to a method for constructing an elevator, comprising providing an elevator car; providing plurality of prefabricated hoistway modules to be piled on top of each other, each hoistway module bordering a hoistway space into which the whole elevator car or at least an upper or lower end thereof can be fitted to move; and piling said plurality of prefabricated modules on top of each other, such that the hoistway spaces of the prefabricated modules are vertically aligned forming a continuous vertically elongated hoistway where the elevator car can be fitted to move; and arranging the elevator car to be vertically movable in the hoistway. The invention also relates to an elevator obtained with the method.

Provided is a stretching tensioner for tensioning a guide wire comprising: a tensioner base attachable to a lift platform, a housing located on a bottom side of the tensioner base for housing the guide wire, and a wire lock clamped on the guide wire underneath the housing and fixing the guide wire with respect to a base of the housing, wherein the housing comprises a hollow threaded shaft, an activation nut, a bearing between the hollow threaded shaft and the bottom side of the tensioner base, a tensioning nut, a resilient element arranged between the tensioning nut and the base of the housing such that upon rotation of the activation nut the tensioning nut moves axially to compress the resilient element and tensioning the guide wire, as well as wire guided lifts and wind turbines comprising such tensioners.

Absorber for elevator system rail

An elevator system includes a hoistway, the hoistway having a plurality of landing floors each landing floor having a landing floor door. One or more guide rails are located in the hoistway to guide one or more elevator system components along the hoistway. An absorber is located at a hoistway pit and is supportive of a guide rail of the one or more guide rails. The absorber is configured to absorb loads imparted to the guide rail due to vertical translation and/or compression of the hoistway. A method of supporting a guide rail of an elevator system includes locating an absorber in an elevator hoistway in operable communication with a guide rail of an elevator system. Vertically-acting loads are transmitted from the guide rail to the absorber via the absorber piston thereby increasing a fluid pressure in the housing chamber.

Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods of determining online identity reputation. In aspects, an online identity of an entity may engage in online interactions. The content provided by the online identity may be accessed and analyzed to determine interaction characteristics and reputation metrics for the online identity. Based on the reputation metrics, the online identity and/or entity (and content therefrom) may be filtered from further online interactions. In some aspects, interaction data may be stored in a data store. An interaction mapping component having access to the data store may analyze the data store data to determine mappings between online identities, entities and interactions. In at least one aspect, an opt-in certificate system may also be provided. The opt-in system may provide an online identity or entity a certificate to securely validate identity.

ELEVATOR

An elevator of the present invention includes a guide member spaced apart from a structure and formed in a vertical direction with respect to the ground, a first elevating member coupled to the guide member to be moveable in a longitudinal direction of the guide member, a second elevating member coupled to the guide member to be moveable in the longitudinal direction of the guide member, detachably coupled to a lower side of the first elevating member, and lifted and lowered together with the first elevating member, and at least one connecting unit which connects the first elevating member and the second elevating member.
