20230012286 · 2023-01-12 ·

A system for lubricating a wire rope includes a housing configured to be mounted adjacent a wire to be lubricated. A cartridge for housing lubricant is disposed on the housing. At least two nozzles are in fluid communication with the cartridge and configured to dispense the lubricant onto a respective wire at a position adjacent a weight bearing portion of the wire.

Elevator

The invention refers to an elevator comprising an elevator car and a suspension arrangement for suspending and/or moving an elevator car, which suspension arrangement comprises at least one suspension member, whereby at least one suspension member component is provided which component is to be applied to the suspension member for affecting the physical properties of the suspension member during the operation of the elevator. According to the invention the suspension member component applied to the suspension member comprises an component identifier which is an addition to the suspension member component which component identifier is configured to be identified visibly or via additional tools. The invention allows the unambiguous identification of the suspension member component and also the distribution of the component on the suspension member surface.

Lubricating Tubes, Systems, and Methods

A lubricating tube and a lubrication system are configured to lubricate an apparatus having a rolling component. The lubrication system includes a fluid reservoir containing a fluid, a fluid line coupled to the fluid reservoir; and the lubricating tube, which is disposed between the fluid line and the rolling component. The lubricating tube includes a rigid cylindrical body surrounding a cavity and having an outer circumferential surface. An inlet of the lubricating tube is coupled to the fluid line and provides fluid communication between the fluid line and the cavity. A plurality of ports is disposed on the outer circumferential surface and is configured to dispense the fluid to the rolling component. A location of each port of the plurality of ports from the inlet is customizable.

A wire rope is disclosed that comprises metal wires, preferably steel wires, as a load-bearing material, which rope comprises at least one or more strands laid from said metal wires and which rope is lubricated with a lubricant. Another object is the use of the aforementioned lubricant for lubricating a steel rope. The lubricant comprises at least oil and powder substance, which powder substance comprises at least particles whose hardness is greater than 4 on the Mohs scale. A traction sheave elevator comprising such a wire rope as a suspension rope is disclosed, too.

Paste type lubrication

In a paste type lubrication between a steel wire rope and a rope groove of a pulley, is applied a paste lubricant which contains oil and small solid particles. Solid particles could be of a wide variety sizes and they are small enough to at least partly fit into the valleys between the peaks of surface roughness of the ropes or the rope groove.
