A method for loading equipment and/or personnel onto a platform mounted on the nacelle tower of an offshore wind farm is provided. This method enables loading of equipment onto a platform mounted on the nacelle tower or on the monopile or tripod or jacket foundation of an offshore wind turbine without needing to mount the construction during the loading operation.

TOWER FOR AN OFFSHORE WIND TURBINE COMPRISING A CRANE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SUCH A TOWER
20230098821 · 2023-03-30 ·

The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a tower (2) for an offshore wind turbine as well as such a tower. The method comprises providing the tower, mounting a crane (5) to an outer surface of the tower, and transporting the tower to the installation site of the wind turbine after the mounting of the crane. The crane comprises a base part (6) fixedly mounted to the tower, and a crane arm (7) pivotally connected to the base part at a first end (8). The method may further comprise a step of testing and certifying the crane according to a predetermined standard before the step of transporting the tower to the installation site. By application of the invention, the amount of installation work to be performed at the installation site can be minimized. In some embodiments of the invention, the crane arm has a shape matching the outer surface of the tower.

Closed strap collar for securing cargo by means of friction, device for lifting cargo and lifting method

A closed strap collar for securing cargo by friction, a device for lifting cargo and a lifting method, the collar being formed by a strap and a tensioner which, by tightening the strap around an element, allows cargo to be secured to the element being held or the held element to be raised by pulling the strap collar.

ROPE DRIVER, PORTABLE DEVICE FOR DRIVING A ROPE COMPRISING A ROPE DRIVER, KIT, METHOD AND USE
20230087633 · 2023-03-23 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a portable device for hoisting/lowering/storing a rope from a tall structure, such as a wind turbine. The device is formed of an assembly of a rope storage container and a rope driver reversibly connected thereto. The rope storage container defines a rope storage volume bound between a bottom surface and an outer side wall. The rope driver is reversibly connectable to the container and comprises a rope passage having a dimension matching a diameter of the rope. The passage is formed between a pair of adjacent rollers or between a drive coil and a clamp. The rope is driven (hoisted and stored or provided and lowered) by an electric motor arranged to drive at least one of the rollers or the drive coil.

METHOD FOR LIFTING/LOWERING LONG OBJECT IN WIND POWER GENERATING APPARATUS
20220341396 · 2022-10-27 ·

A method for lifting/lowering a long object in a wind power generating apparatus which includes a rotatably disposed rotor head, the rotor head having an openable and closable opening which causes an interior space of the rotor head and an exterior of the rotor head to communicate with each other, the interior space being disposed with a long jig for hanging the long object, the method includes a horizontal movement step of moving the long object in a horizontal attitude along a horizontal direction to be close to the opening or to be away from the opening in the interior space, an attitude change step of changing an attitude of the long object between the horizontal attitude and a vertical attitude vertically above the opening in the interior space, and a lifting/lowering step of lifting/lowering the long object in the vertical attitude while hanging the long object from the jig.

METHOD AND YOKE FOR LIFTING A WIND TURBINE COMPONENT
20230079878 · 2023-03-16 · ·

Method for lifting a wind turbine component The present invention relates to a method for lifting a wind turbine component, such as a rotor blade (2), gearbox or a rotor, with a lifting yoke (10) comprising a first structural body (20) comprising a crane hook attachment point (21), a first connection point (22) and a second connection point (23), a second structural body (30) comprising a third connection point (31) and a fourth connection point (32). First and second tensional elements (24, 25) such as slings or wires, are connected to the connection points, the length of the second tensional element being variable. An inertial measurement unit (40) determines the angle of the second structural body to the horizontal and the angle of the second tensional element is determined by an angle sensor. The distance (D) from the fourth connection point to the intersection between an axis (V) extending vertically through the center of gravity of the wind turbine component and the lifting plane is determined and provided to a crane operator. The invention also concerns a corresponding yoke.
