INWARD SLOPED DRUM FACE FOR PIPE INSPECTION CAMERA SYSTEM

Cable storage drum-reels, methods and systems are provided for deploying and retracting at least one push-cable with a distally mounted camera into and out of a pipe or cavity for applications such as plumbing and underground utility location. In an exemplary embodiment, a cable storage drum may include a centrally mounted axially projecting hub, and a housing to removably receive and rotatably support the cable storage drum. The housing may include an inside portion, and an outside portion with a front face and a rear face. The front face has an opening and is sloped inward toward the inside portion of the drum allowing a push-cable to be directed as desired into the cable storage drum and around the drum-reel. One or more cable guide points may be included for providing additional directional guidance of the push-cable into the drum and onto the hub.

Hoisting arrangement of a hoist of a crane

The hoisting arrangement of a hoist of a of a crane, includes a trolley arranged to move along a main support structure of the crane, whereby the trolley includes a support frame structure; bearing wheels which are fastened to the support frame structure and by means of which the trolley is arranged to move along said main support structure; a hoisting mechanism that has a rope drum for a hoisting rope, a rope pulley arrangement which has upper sheave arrangements and lower rope pulley arrangements and through which the hoisting rope may be guided from the rope drum to an attachment point, and a hoisting member in cooperation with the hoisting rope for hoisting a load; whereby the rope drum is supported to the support frame structure of the trolley so that the axle of the rope drum is parallel to the main support structure. In the hoisting arrangement, the disengagement point of the hoisting rope from the rope drum, the attachment point of the sheave, and the attachment point of the first end of hoisting rope are arranged on the same vertical plane of the hoisting arrangement. The rope drum has a first end towards which the hoisting rope is wound in the hoisting member's upper position, and a second end towards which the hoisting rope is unwound in the hoisting member's lower position. The first rope pulley of the rope pulley arrangement is so placed that the release point of the hoisting rope from the first rope pulley to the first sheave is, in the axle direction of the rope drum, further from the second end than the first end of the rope drum.

PORTABLE WINCH
20230100802 · 2023-03-30 ·

A portable winch and method of use is shown. One advantage of winches shown includes an ability to lower a boom or boom sections into limited access exit pit for winching operations such as pipe bursting. Sectional boom designs shown provide the ability to easily raise and lower a boom large distances without the need for a single long boom. Selected winch designs shown include flexible inserts between the boom and the winch frame that help resist damage from unforeseen shifting of the device during operation. Designs and methods shown also include multiple pulleys on a boom end unit. Fasteners are shown that reduce build up of debris.
