The scissor lift platform includes a frame resting on the ground by connecting members, a platform, a device for lifting the platform, including a set of jointed bars supporting the platform, so the elevation of the platform relative to the frame is variable and controlled by the set of bars, the set of bars including four lower bars defining parallel pairs hinged to four lower articulation blocks connected to the frame, the set of bars also including four upper bars defining parallel pairs hinged to four upper articulation blocks connected to the platform, and at least four sensors each measuring a reaction force, the sensors each having a lower or upper articulation block. Each articulation block/sensor includes first and a second portions. Each sensor is positioned between the first portion of the articulation block in which the sensor is mounted and the second portion of the articulation block.

Opto-electric system of enhanced operator control station protection

A system for protecting an operator on an aerial work platform from a crushing hazard includes a sensor, such as opto-electric sensor, positionable adjacent the control panel area. A control system is programmed to control operation of the driving components based on signals from the sensor.

Fall-Protection System with Monitoring System

A fall-protection system including a harness and a fall-protection apparatus with a lifeline bearing a connector configured to be connected to the harness; and, a fall-protection monitoring system with a base unit and with at least one sensor module configured to sense a condition of the connector and to communicate a signal indicative of the condition of the connector to the base unit.

AUTOMATIC CONNECTION TO WORK SITE EQUIPMENT GROUPINGS

A work site equipment grouping system includes a plurality of work machines including a first work machine and a second work machine. Each work machine is configured to wirelessly communicate with other work machines. The system further includes a local area network including a plurality of communicatively connected nodes, the nodes including the first work machine and the second work machine. The system further includes a third work machine configured to detect one of the first work machine or the second work machine within a signal range of the third work machine and, upon detecting one of the first work machine or the second work machine, automatically join the local area network.

Inboard-Mounted Safety Latch Mechanism for Preventing a Walkway Platform Flip Door From Being Raised Without a Guardrail Installed
20230010425 · 2023-01-12 ·

In an example, a system is described. The system includes a guardrail having a post, and the post having a post dog. The system also includes a latch eye configured to be coupled to a flip door. The system also comprises a safety latch mechanism configured to be coupled to a fixed structure and including a body, a socket configured to receive the post, and a door latch rotatably coupled to the body and biased in a latched position that is configured to engage with the latch eye and thereby retain the flip door in a lowered position. Based on the post being inserted into the socket of the safety latch mechanism, the post dog engages with and rotates the door latch from the latched position to an unlatched position, thereby allowing the flip door to be raised from the lowered position to a raised position.
