WATER PURIFIER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

A water purifier includes a water tank having a cold water path inside the tank, a coolant inside the water tank, a cooling device including an evaporator inside the water tank and through which a refrigerant flows, and a compressor that is operable to compress the refrigerant. The cooling device is configured to cool the coolant to cool water flowing through a temperature sensor, which is configured to detect a temperature of the coolant and output coolant temperature information about the detected temperature of the coolant. The purifier also includes an agitator operable to agitate the coolant and a controller configured to control the compressor and the agitator to operate simultaneously and control the agitator to stop operating while the compressor is controlled to continue operating based on preset ice-making temperature information and the coolant temperature information. There is also a method of controlling a compressor and an agitator.

Water ejecting apparatus

A water ejecting apparatus includes a case and a water ejection unit connected to the case. The water ejection unit includes a fixed cover connected to the case, having atop dead point and a bottom dead point, and including a lifting gear provided between the top dead point and the bottom dead point, a lifting cover movably coupled to the fixed cover, a lifting motor coupled to the lifting cover and a gear module interworking with the lifting motor and the lifting gear, a water ejection nozzle for ejecting water, a signal detecting unit that detects a frequency generation (FG) signal generated by the lifting motor during an operation of the lifting motor, and a controller configured to control the operation of the lifting motor upon determining that the lifting cover reaches the top dead point or the bottom dead point based on the FG signal.

Cooling water stirrer and water purifier having the same

A stirrer includes a stirring shaft; a plurality of mixing wings extending from the lower end of the stirring shaft and spaced from each other around the stirring shaft; and a conical hub connecting the lower ends of the mixing wings.

WATER DISPENSING STATION

A drink station is provided with an alkaline filter cartridge in fluid communication with an ambient temperature water line provide alkaline water, and with a chilled water mixed with the alkaline water at a spigot to provide chilled alkaline water. A hot water heating element is located below the spigot so hot water flows upward for dispensing from the spigot, with a vent line between the heating element and spigot helping hot water to flow from the spigot to the heating element. A refrigeration system and a carbonation system is also provided. The refrigeration system uses the ice-bank technology. A submersible agitator pump improves heat exchanged between ice-bank and water by forced convection. The agitator pump operating based on the temperature of the drinking water. A figure eight evaporator coil can provide two cylindrical ice banks and two chilled water coils to increase the chilled water capacity.

Systems and methods for dispensing a beverage

Beverage dispensers are disclosed. A beverage dispenser may include a carbonation pump, pressure tank, and a pressure switch configured to active the pressure pump when a pressure in the pressure tank falls below a threshold pressure. The pressure switch may cause the carbonation pump to shut off when the pressure in the pressure tank exceeds an upper threshold pressure. The beverage dispenser may be convertible from a carbonated beverage dispenser to a non-carbonated beverage dispenser.
