Fuel delivery system having printed circuit corrosion sensor
A fuel dispensing system comprising a fuel tank adapted to contain a quantity of fuel. A fuel dispenser is in fluid communication with the fuel tank via piping. A pump operative to transfer fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel dispenser is also provided. The fuel dispensing system further comprises a corrosion detection assembly operative to identify presence of a corrosive substance in the fuel. The corrosion detection assembly includes at least one corrosion sensor positioned to be in contact with fuel vapor in the fuel dispensing system, the corrosion sensor producing a detector signal indicating presence of the corrosive substance. The corrosion sensor according to this aspect has a printed circuit multilayer structure in which at least one sensing element is positioned on an exposed surface of the multilayer structure and at least one reference element is positioned on an inner surface of the multilayer structure to be unexposed to the fuel vapor. Electronics in electrical communication with the corrosion sensor are operative to interpret the detector signal and produce an output if the corrosive substance is present.
KIT OF PARTS FOR ASSEMBLING A HOSE CONNECTION, A FUEL DISPENSING UNIT HAVING SUCH A HOSE CONNECTION, AND A METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SUCH A HOSE CONNECTION
The present invention relates to a kit of parts (1), comprising plurality of hose connection parts (2,3) selectable from, first hose connection parts (2) comprising one fluid inlet (5) and one fluid outlet (8), second hose connection parts (3) comprising two fluid inlets (7,8) and one fluid outlet (9), and third hose connection parts comprising three fluid inlets and one fluid outlet, which kit of parts (1) is suitable for assembly a hose connection (61,82,83,64) having at least a first and second fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, according to any one of three configurations. The invention also relates to a fuel dispensing unit (85) for refueling vehicles and a method for assembly a hose connection.

Point-of-sale octane/cetane-on-demand systems for automotive engines
A point-of-sale fuel dispensing system, a pump assembly and a method of dispensing fuel at a point-of-sale. The system includes a market fuel storage tank, pump assembly, fuel conduit, separation unit, numerous enriched fuel product tanks and a controller. The separation unit may selectively receive at least a portion of market fuel and convert it into an octane-rich fuel component and a cetane-rich fuel component that may be subsequently dispensed to a vehicle being fueled, where a fuel grade selection and retail payment of a fuel containing the octane-rich or cetane-rich fuel components is provided to the vehicle based on user input at the customer interface.
Fuel blending hose and fuel dispensing unit
A fuel hose for delivering multiple-grades of fuel is provided and in one embodiment includes a first hose portion having a first length and a first diameter, and a second hose portion having a second length and a second diameter. The first hose portion includes a first fuel line and a second fuel line, and the second hose portion includes a third fuel line. The first fuel line and the second fuel line can be fluidly connected to the third fuel line. In one embodiment, the first diameter of the first hose portion is larger than the second diameter of the second hose portion. The invention further relates to a fuel dispensing unit.
POINT-OF-SALE OCTANE/CETANE-ON-DEMAND SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMOTIVE ENGINES
