RIDDING STIRRUPS WITH DETACHABLE FOOT BEDS
Riding stirrups each comprising a hoop and a foot bed removably attached to the hoop by at least one set of coupling mechanisms are disclosed. An exemplary hoop comprises a curved top portion and a bottom portion. An exemplary foot bed comprises a top surface and a bottom surface with a traverse channel. A preferred traverse channel is configured to receive the bottom portion of the exemplary hoop. The exemplary hoop and foot bed are detachably coupled by a set of coupling mechanisms including at least a first coupling mechanism and at least a second coupling mechanism, located at the bottom portion of the hoop and the traverse channel of the foot bed respectively. A preferred set of coupling mechanism is a ball detent system. An exemplary foot bed may further include removable anti-slip projections on its top surface.
Stirrup with opening and closing function
The present disclosure relates to a stirrup having an opening and closing function for preventing a body from being injured in a situation such as falling from a horse. The present disclosure provides a stirrup having an opening and closing function, which is coupled to a saddle so that a rider's foot rests thereon, the stirrup including: a main body part having a bottom portion for placing a foot thereon, a top part connected to a saddle strap, and an open part formed on one side thereof; and an opening and closing part for opening and closing the open part, wherein the opening and closing part has one end connected to the main body part with a wire, and the other end which is attachable to and detachable from the main body part by means of magnetic force.
ORTHOTIC RIDING STIRRUP AND BOOT INTERFACE
An orthotic stirrup interface between a horse and a rider is disclosed. Aspects of the invention include an improved stirrup, an orthotic riding boot, and an indexed interface between the stirrup and orthotic riding boot. Embodiments of the present invention provide for a positive indexed engagement between the foot of a rider and the stirrups. The positive indexed engagement provides greater stability and control of the rider with the horse, improves safety of the rider and horse. An orthotic profile to the stirrup reduces pain and discomfort in the rider's feet. Embodiments for each of a thoroughbred racing stirrup and a therapy riding stirrup and associated footwear are disclosed.
J Stirrup
A stirrup design that reduces the chances of a rider's foot getting caught during riding or unexpected dismounting. The stirrup includes a foot plate, a U-shaped attachment shank, and a connecting structural member. The U-shaped shank attaches to a saddles strap and includes a first shank leg, a second shank leg, and a web shank. The foot plate supports the rider's foot and is mounted offset to the U-shaped attachment shank by the connecting structural member. The first shank and the second shank are oriented normal to the foot plate to horizontally suspend the foot plate. The first shank leg is positioned parallel and coincident with a sagittal plane of the foot plate, directly over the foot plate. For comfort, a sagittal plane of the U-shaped attachment shank is oriented at a first acute angle with the sagittal plane of the foot plate.
RIDING BRACKET, MANUFACTURING METHOD
Horse-riding stirrup (1) comprising a stirrup frame (2) which comprises a hooking portion (4) to a stirrup leather (100), a first side arm (6) and a support arm (8) connected to each other in an incident manner to define a frame compartment (10) engageable by a user's foot; a support element (42) for the user's foot, fitted to the support arm (8) and shape-coupled with an element seat (44) of said arm; The element seat (44) is delimited by an undercut portion (46) which a portion (48) of the support element (42) is wedged into on one side, another portion (50) of said element (42) being constrained to the support arm (8) by means of one or more mechanical fastenings (52) which extend through the thickness of the stirrup frame (2). The invention also relates to an assembly method of a stirrup.
