CATALYST MEDIUM COMPRISING HOLLOW MICROSPHERES
The present invention relates to a calcined medium, in particular a catalyst or a catalyst medium or an adsorbent/absorbent mass, in particular in the form of extrudates, pellets, granules or beads, the medium comprising a porous matrix comprising carbonates, clays, zeolites, oxides, or metal and/or silicon hydroxides, and the matrix incorporating hollow mineral microspheres having a different composition in a content of between 0.3 and 50% by weight, in particular between 0.5 and 15% by weight, of the matrix.
Method and system for desulfurization and dezincification of tailings
A method for desulfurization and dezincification of tailings includes the step of passing tap water into a high oxidation reduction electrocatalytic water equipment to reduce the pH value of tap water to 1-2, mixing a specific ratio of the pH value 1-2 acid electrocatalytic water with low-quality high-sulfur iron in the tailings, heating the mixture to let H.sup.+ in the acid electrocatalytic water be reacted with sulfur and zinc in the low-quality high-sulfur iron and to further cause generation of an ion state of hydrogen sulfide gas where the volatilization of water vapor effectively removes the sulfur and zinc elements in the low-quality high-sulfur iron and the hydrogen sulfide gas thus generated is collected.
Production of H2S For Efficient Metal Removal From Effluents
Method and apparatus pertaining to the production of hydrogen sulfide using sodium salts recycle. Sodium sulfate is reacted with a carbon containing stream to produce sodium sulfide and carbon dioxide. The sodium sulfide is blended with elemental sulfur and water. The blend is subjected to elevated temperatures and pressures to result in the production of hydrogen sulfide and sodium sulfate. A mixing apparatus, such as a bubble column reactor, has been found to be especially useful. The hydrogen sulfide can be used for removing metal from effluents.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVAL OF METAL CARBONYLS FROM A GAS MIXTURE
The invention relates to a process for removal of metal carbonyl from a gas mixture. The gas mixture is subjected to a gas scrubbing in an absorber with methanol as the physical scrubbing liquid to obtain the laden methanol. The metals of the metal carbonyls are at least partially precipitated from the laden methanol as metal sulfides to obtain a first suspension comprising metal sulfides and at least a proportion of the laden methanol. The first suspension is sent to a treatment vessel and therein brought into direct contact with water vapor in countercurrent to obtain a second suspension comprising at least water, methanol and metal sulfides and a gaseous product. The second suspension and the gaseous product are withdrawn from the treatment vessel as separate streams.
SYSTEM FOR GENERATING H2S IN AN ALKALINE MEDIUM AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
Method of producing hydrogen sulfide in an alkaline environment. A mixture having a sodium salt, elemental sulfur (S) and water is added to a reactor for the purpose of generating hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) gas as the main product and sodium sulfate (Na.sub.2SO.sub.4) as a byproduct.
Catalytic conversion of DSO in presence of water
The present invention relates to a method for the catalytic conversion in vapor phase of disulfide oil into methane and hydrogen sulfide, comprising the step of contacting disulfide oil, eventually in the presence of water, with a supported transition metal catalyst.
Systems and methods for degassing of sulfur
Contemplated systems and methods for removing polysulfides and hydrogen sulfide from liquid sulfur of a Claus plant include (a) physically separated steps of catalytic decomposition of polysulfides and gas stripping, or (b) use of the stripping gas as the continuous phase in a packed column with decomposition catalyst to so avoid catalyst attrition.
PACKAGE INCLUDING HYDROGEN SULFIDE SUSTAINED RELEASE AGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, HYDROGEN SULFIDE SUSTAINED RELEASE AGENT, HYDROGEN SULFIDE SUSTAINED RELEASECOMPOSITE, AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HYDROGEN SULFIDE USING SAME
To provide an inorganic solid material that has a hydrogen sulfide sustained releasability at ordinary temperature in the air atmosphere and is capable of being handled safely and a method for producing the same, and a method for generating hydrogen sulfide using the material. A layered double hydroxide having HS- and/or Sk2- (wherein k represents a positive integer) intercalated among layers (sulfide ion-containing LDH) is produced, and the sulfide ion-containing LDH is hermetically housed in a packaging material to provide a package. In generating hydrogen sulfide, the packaging material of the package is opened, and the sulfide ion-containing LDH is exposed to the air atmosphere to sustainably release hydrogen sulfide.
System for generating H.SUB.2.S in an alkaline medium and method of using the same
Method of producing hydrogen sulfide in an alkaline environment. A mixture having a sodium salt, elemental sulfur (S) and water is added to a reactor for the purpose of generating hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) gas as the main product and sodium sulfate (Na.sub.2SO.sub.4) as a byproduct.
CATALYST FOR CARBONYL SULFIDE REMOVAL FROM HYDROCARBONS
A method may include: contacting a feed stream comprising carbonyl sulfide with an aqueous stream comprising water in the presence of a carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis catalyst, wherein the carbonyl sulfide hydrolysis catalyst comprises a solid support and a polyamine covalently bonded to the solid support; and hydrolyzing at least a portion of the carbonyl sulfide to produce at least hydrogen sulfide.
