The invention relates to a method for producing hydrogen, in which, in a non-electrolytic method, a carbonaceous feed material is converted into non-electrolytically produced hydrogen and one or more further non-electrolytically produced products, and furthermore excess steam is provided using the non-electrolytic process. According to the invention at least a part of the excess steam is used at least intermittently to provide feed steam, which is converted by means of steam electrolysis to electrolytic hydrogen and electrolytic oxygen. The present invention also relates to a corresponding plant.

HEAT AND HYDROGEN GENERATION DEVICE

A burner combustion chamber (3), a burner (7) for performing a burner combustion in the burner combustion chamber (3) a reformer catalyst (4) to which burner combustion gas is fed, and a heat exchange part (13a) for heating the air fed to the burner (7) are provided. HEAT AND HYDROGEN GENERATION DEVICE

A burner combustion chamber (3), a reformer catalyst (4) to which burner combustion gas is fed, and a heat exchange part (13a) for heating the air fed to the burner (7) are provided. When the temperature of the reformer catalyst (4) exceeds the allowable catalyst temperature (TX) or when it is predicted the temperature of the reformer catalyst (4) will exceed the allowable catalyst temperature (TX), the air circulation route for guiding air to the burner (7) is switched from a high temperature air circulation route (13) for guiding air heated by the heat exchange part (13a) to the burner (7) to a low temperature air circulation route (14) for guiding air not flowing within the heat exchange part (13a) and lower in temperature than the air heated at the heat exchange part (13a) to the burner (7).

METHOD FOR DRYING CATALYTIC OXIDATION FURNACE

A method for drying a catalytic oxidation furnace, the method including: 1) charging a feed gas including oxygen and natural gas, and a temperature control gas to a catalytic oxidation furnace loaded with a catalyst; 2) preheating a mixed gas including the feed gas and the temperature control gas to increase the temperature of the mixed gas, and stopping the preheating when the temperature of the mixed gas achieves a temperature adapted to trigger the oxidation reaction of the mixed gas; and 3) within the molar ratio of the temperature control gas to the feed gas being 0.1-7:1.3-1.6, reducing the molar ratio of the temperature control gas to the feed gas such that the rise of the temperature of the mixed gas conforms to the temperature rising rate of the drying-out curve of a heat insulation refractory material of the catalytic oxidation furnace.

Combustion chamber hot face refractory lining

A method for producing a refractory lining in a combustion chamber operating in a reducing atmosphere. The lining includes at least one or more Zirconia (Zr)-based refractory lining members comprising one or more Zr-based parts. The Zr-based parts comprise at least 90 wt. %, preferably at least 95 wt. %, of monoclinic ZrO.sub.2 and/or partially stabilized ZrO.sub.2 and/or fully stabilized ZrO.sub.2, wherein the total content of tetragonal and cubic ZrO.sub.2 amounts to at least 20 wt. %, preferably more than 35 wt. %, as well as Zr based refractory lining members and methods for manufacturing the Zr based refractory lining members.

The presently disclosed embodiments relate to the utilization of coal-derived fine mineral matter in chemical recycling of plastics or of solid mixed plastic waste. The instantly disclosed mineral based catalyst benefits the processes of catalytic cracking, gasification and steam reforming to maximize carbon utilization and production of plastics of original quality from recycled or renewable feedstocks while reducing the plastic pollution in the environment. The catalyst can be based on inorganic fine mineral matter, a natural ancient mineral mixture found in coal deposits and containing a plurality of transition metals, such as iron, copper, and manganese, as well as calcium, barium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, which can act as co-catalysts. Addition of the catalyst can convert plastic to syngas at a faction of the energy of conventional technologies.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REMOVING IMPURITIES FROM GASIFICATION GAS AND USE

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for removing impurities from a gasification gas, wherein the gasification gas which includes at least tars and/or undesired hydrocarbons is supplied to a catalytic reformer which has at least one catalyst bed, oxygen containing gas is injected onto the surface of the catalyst bed, the gasification gas is arranged to flow through the catalyst bed and arranged to contact with the oxygen containing gas in the catalyst bed, and a purified gas is discharged from the catalytic reformer. System and method for carbon and syngas production

The present subject matter is directed to a system and method for producing carbon and syngas from carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2). The system includes a first reactor (7) for producing solid carbon (15) from a feed including CO.sub.2 and a volatile organic compound such as methane (1), and a second reactor (20) for producing syngas. Reactions in the first reactor (7) are conducted in a limited oxygen atmosphere. The second reactor (20) can use dry reforming, steam reforming, and/or partial oxidation reforming to produce the syngas (22).
