CATHODE AND ELECTROLYTE CHEMISTRY FOR SCALABLE ZINC ION BATTERY
A zinc ion battery includes a cathode; an anode; a separator; and an electrolyte sandwiched between the cathode and the anode. The electrolyte includes a mixture of zinc perchlorate and sodium perchlorate, and a ratio of the sodium perchlorate to zinc perchlorate is at least 30.
Nanostructured titanic acid salts and preparation process and use thereof
The present invention provides a nanostructured titanic acid salt and a preparation process and use thereof. The process comprises preparing a dispersion containing titanium peroxy complex; slowly adding a metal compound to the dispersion containing the titanium peroxy complex to form a solution; adding an alcohol to the solution under normal temperature and normal pressure to produce the nanostructured titanic acid salt precursor precipitate in the solution, and separating the precipitate to obtain the titanic acid salt precursor; drying the precursor, and then heat treating it to obtain the nanostructured titanic acid salt product. The present invention provides a process for preparing a titanic acid salt with simple preparation process, easy control for process parameters and easy large-scale industrial production.
NANOPOROUS GRAPHENE NANOWIRES AND PRODUCING METHODS AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
A material of porous graphene nanowires with a pore-rich structure is formed by synthesis of catalyst nanowires for porous graphene nanowires, chemical vapor deposition of a carbon source on the catalysts to grow graphene, removal of residual catalyst, and formation of the porous graphene nanowires. The porous graphene nanowires can be used as an electrochemical energy storage material, carriers of catalysts, a conductive material, an adsorption material, a desorption material, or the like.
Synthesis of Ordered Nanorod Arrays
A bi-phased approach between good solvents (or non-polar) and bad solvents (polar) can be used to assemble nanorods into highly ordered monolayers or multilayers of ordered nanorod arrays. These ordered nanorod arrays can display unique optical properties. For example, ordered arrays of CdSe/CdS core/shell nanorods were assembled that display polarized photoluminescence.
Method for producing carbon nanotube fiber aggregate having improved level of alignment
The present invention relates to a method for producing a carbon nanotube fiber aggregate and provides a carbon nanotube fiber aggregate having an improved level of alignment through ultrasonic wave application and low speed recovery.
Copper nanowire grown shape-memory-alloy, artificial muscle including the same, and manufacturing method thereof
An exemplary embodiment relates to improving a driving speed of a shape-memory-alloy applied as an artificial muscle, and to improving heat conduction and thermal convection by growing copper nanowires on the surface of the shape-memory-alloy to improve a natural cooling rate and a driving speed of the shape-memory-alloy.
Fabrication of CoVO.SUB.x .composite thin film electrode via single step AACVD
A CoVO.sub.x composite electrode and method of making is described. The composite electrode comprises a substrate with an average 0.5-5 μm thick layer of CoVO.sub.x having pores with average diameters of 2-200 nm. The method of making the composite electrode involves contacting the substrate with an aerosol comprising a solvent, a cobalt complex, and a vanadium complex. The CoVO.sub.x composite electrode is capable of being used in an electrochemical cell for water oxidation.
Preparation method of hexagonal molybdenum oxide nanorod
The preparation method according to the present disclosure is to easily prepare hexagonal molybdenum oxide (h-MoO.sub.3) having a nanorod shape even in a low temperature precipitation reaction at atmospheric pressure without applying hydrothermal synthesis under high temperature and high pressure conditions. The hexagonal molybdenum oxide (h-MoO.sub.3) nanorods prepared therefrom can be properly mixed with carbon-based conductive materials such as carbon nanofiber, and thus can be usefully used as an anode material for a pseudocapacitor.
Method of manufacturing MoS.SUB.2 .having 1T crystal structure
Provided is a method of manufacturing MoS.sub.2 having a 1T crystal structure. The method includes performing phase transition from a 2H crystal structure of MoS.sub.2 to the 1T crystal structure by reacting MoS.sub.2 having the 2H crystal structure with CO gas. The phase transition includes annealing the MoS.sub.2 having the 2H crystal structure in an atmosphere including CO gas.
GREEN METHOD OF PREPARING IRON OXIDE NANOPARTICLES USING HERBAL MIXTURE
A method of preparing iron oxide nanoparticles using an herbal mixture comprising Capparis spinosa, Cichorium intybus, Solanum nigrum, Cassia occidentalis, Terminalia arjuna, Achillea millefolium, and Tamarix gallica. The method produces crystalline γ-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 nanoparticles which are superparamagnetic. The iron oxide nanoparticles are used in a method of killing or inhibiting the growth of a bacteria and/or fungus, particularly in the form of a biofilm. The nanoparticles are also used in a method of treating colon cancer.
