Water-conducting household appliance and method for operation thereof
A water-conducting household appliance has a closable treatment chamber, in order to treat articles therein, at least one chamber water inlet into the treatment chamber, at least one sump under said treatment chamber, a coarse particle filter for separating coarse particles having a size ≥5 mm from water exiting from the sump, wherein the coarse particle filter has a coarse particle filter inlet, a coarse particle filter water outlet and a coarse particle filtrate outlet. According to the invention, exactly one pump having a pump inlet and a pump outlet is provided for the entire household appliance, said pump being connected downstream of the sump and the coarse particle filter water outlet. Water lines, valve devices and a discharge outlet from the household appliance are also provided, wherein a water line leads from the coarse particle filter water outlet to the pump or to the pump inlet.
GREYWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM
A system and method for removing contaminates from greywater that uses carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) and a system that adjusts the pH between 6 and 9. The filtration system is cost effective, quick, and easy to use, resulting in purified water.
Water delivery control system
A water delivery control system operates to selectively deliver water from a water source to water use devices. The system includes at least one controller that wirelessly communicates messages with a portable user device. The system includes a water control valve and a motor that is operative to selectively move at least one valve element of the valve. A water meter is operative to measure water flow that corresponds to flow through the valve. The controller is operable to cause the valve to enable or prevent flow through the valve responsive at least in part to water flow data. The controller is operative to determine a water use condition responsive to a water usage pattern, and to cause at least one message to be sent to the portable user device responsive to the determined water use condition.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RESIDENTIAL WATER RECYCLING
A wastewater recycling system includes a biological reactor having anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic chambers. A lift station including a pump is operatively connected to the biological reactor. The lift station receives biologically treated liquid from the biological reactor and pumps the liquid from the lift station. A filtration subsystem is operatively connected to the lift station. The filtration subsystem receives and filters the liquid pumped by the lift station. The filtration subsystem includes a salt-rejecting membrane filter comprising a concentrate recirculation conduit operatively connected to recirculate salt-rejecting membrane filter concentrate to a point along the wastewater recycling system upstream of the salt-rejecting membrane filter, thereby forming a salt concentration loop between said point along the wastewater recycling system and the salt-rejecting membrane filter. A post-filtration subsystem is operatively connected to receive salt-rejecting membrane filter permeate, and comprises a water disinfection system that disinfects the permeate thereby generating potable water.
Microplastic Removal Using Adhesives
Articles comprising pressure-sensitive adhesives and methods of their use for removing micro- and nanoplastic particles from various media, including wastewater effluent, laundry effluent, and indoor air, are disclosed.
FILTER DEVICE FOR A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE, A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE WITH A FILTER DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR FILTERING WATER WITH A FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for a water-bearing domestic appliance which has a surface filter with a sleeve shape, a support structure for said surface filter and a flow-through filter housing with filter inlet and filter outlet. The surface filter is held stably on the support structure, which has through-flow openings and a central opening at the end. A first flow path for water leads into the support structure and out again through the through-flow openings and the surface filter. A second flow path leads into the support structure and out again only through the central opening. The support structure is designed circumferential and is formed by support ribs which between them comprise the through-flow openings. The surface filter is attached or pressed onto the outside of the support structure in such a way that it covers the through-flow openings and rests on the outside of the support ribs.
GREY WATER RECLAMATION FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
A grey water reclamation system for a recreational vehicle includes an on-board use that generates grey water having a contamination level, a grey water treatment tank fluidly connected to the on-board uses to collect the grey water and treat the grey water therein to form treated grey water, and a coagulant dispenser and a flocculant dispenser each fluidly connected to the grey water treatment tank and configured to supply a predetermined amount of coagulant and flocculant, respectively, to the grey water treatment tank. The system also includes a grey water supply tank fluidly connected to the grey water treatment tank configured to receive the treated grey water therefrom and supply the treated grey water to a particular on-board use. The predetermined amount of coagulant is based on the contamination level or a turbidity of the treated grey water.
Household appliance with coagulant dosing system
Laundry treatment appliances for use in a typical household include a tub that has an opening to provide access to the interior and at least partially defines a treating chamber into which fabric items such as clothes, towels, or linens can be placed to undergo a washing operation. A system can be provided for recirculating wash liquid through the tub to reduce water consumption. At least one tank or reservoir and a coagulant dosing system can be included for the chemical treatment of wash water as part of the wash liquid recirculation system. The tank can also serve to separate coagulated solids from the wash water.
