The sealed electrical connection interface comprises a electrical contacts and the sealed sleeve interface comprise a radial sealing element, an outer collar, and a compression ring. The UV transparent sleeve is engaged with the sleeve interface such that the radial sealing element of the sealed sleeve interface is disposed between the UV transparent sleeve and the outer collar of the source base, and the compression ring is positioned over the UV transparent sleeve and engaged with the source base to compress the radial sealing element onto the UV transparent sleeve and the outer collar. The UV lamp is disposed within the UV transparent sleeve and electrically coupled to the electrical contacts of the electrical connection interface.
ULTRAVIOLET LAMP WITH MINIMIZED OZONE GENERATION
This application discloses an ultraviolet lamp with minimized ozone generation, the ultraviolet lamp comprising an outer tube; an inner tube arranged across the interior of the outer tube; an outer electrode installed on the outside wall of the outer tube; and an inner electrode installed on the inner side of the tube; wherein the outer electrode is in surface contact with the outside wall of the outer tube; and the width of the contact surface between the outer electrode and the outer tube is equal to the width of the effective electric field generated between the outer electrode and the inner electrode. Thus, because there is no discharge area between the outer electrode and the outer tube, when the outer electrode is connected to a high voltage, there is no discharge in the air, and no ozone is generated.
TREATMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRINKING WATER
A water treatment system comprises a flow path through a first activated carbon filter, a second activated carbon filter downstream of the first activated carbon filter, a particulate filter downstream of the second activated carbon filter, for example a ceramic membrane, and a UV sterilizer downstream of the particulate filter. Ozone is introduced into the process water ahead of a water storage vessel for storing treated water produced by the system. A recycle subsystem is periodically operated to withdraw treated water from the water storage vessel to form recycled water, introduce the recycled water to the water lines upstream of the UV sterilizer, and return the recycled water to the water storage vessel. A main programmable logic controller (PLC) controls a flow of the process water through the water treatment system and controls the recycle subsystem.
Phosphor composition having selected surface coatings
A method and a system for producing a change in a medium. The method places in a vicinity of the medium an energy modulation agent. The method applies an initiation energy to the medium. The initiation energy interacts with the energy modulation agent to directly or indirectly produce the change in the medium. The energy modulation agent has a normal predominant emission of radiation in a first wavelength range outside of a second wavelength range (WR2) known to produce the change, but under exposure to the applied initiation energy produces the change. The system includes an initiation energy source configured to apply an initiation energy to the medium to activate the energy modulation agent.
Evaporative humidifier and control method thereof
An evaporative humidifier including a water bucket, a tub configured to accommodate water introduced from the water bucket, a humidifying element configured to execute humidification by receiving the water accommodated in the tub and evaporating the received water, and an ultraviolet ray emitting part provided on the tub to emit ultraviolet rays to the tub.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING PURE WATER
Provided are a method and an apparatus for producing pure water in which water that has been subjected to an ultraviolet oxidation treatment performed with an ultraviolet oxidation device is brought into contact with a platinum-group metal catalyst, the method and apparatus eliminating the likelihood of the catalyst being degraded and enabling decomposition of hydrogen peroxide to be performed for a prolonged period of time in a consistent manner. Water-to-be-treated is subjected to an ultraviolet oxidation treatment performed with an ultraviolet oxidation device and subsequently subjected to a hydrogen peroxide removal treatment performed with a hydrogen peroxide removal device including a platinum-group metal catalyst. The TOC concentration in water fed to the ultraviolet oxidation device is 5 ppb or less. An anion exchange resin tower is installed in a stage following the ultraviolet oxidation device.
Method and Apparatus to Reduce Wastewater Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Nitrogen and Phosphorous Without Bioreactor Processing
This invention relates to a treatment method and apparatus directed to improving water quality, increasing net energy production, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions without employing bioreactor processing for waters containing suspended organic solids, PPCPs, PFAS, negative colloids, heavy metals, phosphates, nitrates, carbonates, silicates, chlorides and sodium ions. It employs SO.sub.2, sulfites and bisulfites to self-agglomerate suspended organic solids with sorbed PFAS and PPCPs, and acid leach heavy metals into solution. Subsequent liming filtration separates of metal hydroxides and insoluble calcium salts while chemically conditioning the separated organic solids for gasification or burning. The second filtrate is then exposed to ultra violet light for pathogen disinfection, and exciting sulfites to remove nitrates, and degrade PFAS and PPCPs to form a disinfected metal free salt balanced reclaimed wastewater with reduced PFAS, PPCPs, pathogens and negligible nitrogen and phosphorous.
CONTAINER WITH UV PURIFICATION
A water container for purifying water. The water container includes an opening configured to receive water, a container body arranged to enclose the water and a water purifying unit configured to purify the water. The water purifying unit includes an at least partially transparent plate, which includes a coating of metal-oxide nanoparticles on a first side facing the container body, wherein the first side is configured to be in contact with the water, and an ultraviolet light module configured to radiate towards a second side of the at least partially transparent plate such that light from the ultraviolet light module at least partially passes through the at least partially transparent plate. Also, a method for purifying water within a water container.

Ultraviolet lamp
An ultraviolet lamp includes a lamp tube and an electrode. A discharge cavity is formed in the lamp tube. A thermistor is disposed on an end socket at a first end of the lamp tube. A receiving groove communicated with the discharge cavity is formed in the end socket and contains amalgam. The thermistor heats the amalgam in the receiving groove in the end socket. The Curie temperature of the thermistor ranges from [T1+(T2−T1)/5] to [T1+4*(T2−T1)/5], wherein T1 and T2 are respectively a minimum operating temperature and a maximum operating temperature of the amalgam in a continuous region where the ultraviolet radiation power is from 90% to 100% when the input power of the ultraviolet lamp is 100%.
